hi sifus,
any comment on the minolta 28-75 f2.8 and the tamron 70-210 SP LD f2.8 (yup, 70-210, not 70-200)
having someone going to the US, so hope to find some bargain old but gold lense
in addition, can the minolta flash be used on alpha, cos if can find cheap (again) might want to try

thanks.

Harbin is a must go place for me
Was thinking to go there this end of the year as well, what i heard lowest in Harbin could be around -50c
are you in China right now?

1 thing for sure canon 1D can survive in those weather tongue.gif

you will need to watch out for condensation build up inside the camera that might freeze into fine ice and cause potential shorting issue
but some places are very dry, even though cold

if the body and lense can survive, you still need to worry about the battery as it will freeze up
warming it up will bring it back to life but that would mean you would need at least a pair of it to be able to shoot constantly
popping the frozen one into your pocket to heat it back up while using the other

otherwise, bring a full manual tongue.gif
