I swipe my Public Bank Day2day debit card inside counter for RM50 petrol at Esso.
But when I check my balance, it deducted RM51.
Why so?
Or there is a surcharge of RM1 for the transaction? rclxub.gif

Yea, I am curious if CIMB does offer debit card. I look around but can't find any details.

I do not want to open a new bank account with another bank just to use its debit card services.

Yes. It is a debit card but it can't be linked to your CIMB Bank savings or current account.

Yes. You can. But you can't link it to any of your savings or current accounts held with CIMB Bank. The e.Mastercard is on a totally separate account, just like Public Bank VISA Electron.

It is more or less the same as their VISA debit card except that this Mastercard debit Platinum can only be issued with their Premier current accounts.

Am wondering why too. Have always used my PBB D2D VISA to pay for petrol as well as at the supermarket since September last year and have never faced such problem.

RM1/RM50 = 2%

is it extra charges made by the retailer?

You will need to withdraw the money in your BSN account first then deposit to another bank. Alternatively, you can perform an interbank transfer. You will be charged RM2/transfer.
