can instant top up by internet transfer 1 right?
The debit card offers the highest rebate scheme for usage in petrol station is Public Bank Day2Day VISA debit card. This card is linked to your PLUS Savings Account. You will get 0.8% rebate on petrol and supermarket purchases and 0.3% for all other retail spending.

It is only available until 30th June 2010.

By the way, i see that they have reduced the annual fee for RHB Cash Connect VISA Debit from RM20 when it was first introduced last year to RM15. Anyway, it seems that the response for RHB Bank series of debit card is not that good due to the hefty annual fee. Not many existing ATM cardholders are willing to switch to this card.

It is a good sign as it shows more and more wise consumers nowadays. Why need to pay for DC when we have MBB DC for free?Even then, RM15 per year is still higher compare to the rest o the DC available in market (PBB etc)

MBB - free annual fee, but no cash back reward, only 1 treatpoint for every RM3 spent

PBB - RM12 annual fee, 0.8% cash back on petrol and grocery, others 0.3%

RHB - RM15 annual fee, 0.5% cash back, weekend 2% cash back

But then, if you're a heavy debit card user, Public Bank Day2Day VISA debit and RHB Cash Connect VISA debit might save you more money compared to the annual fee free Maybank VISA debit as the latter sucks in its reward system.

You can redeem for free shopping voucher. Consider that as a cash back.

Based on the current points needed to redeem for a RM100 Jusco voucher, the cash back is only 0.16% and that is the lowest and lousiest debit card reward among all the major competing cards.

The cash back shown above is permanent.

The weekend 2% cash back is only a promotion and it is valid until 30 June 2010.

even if u spend average RM200 per month on petrol
it still give u RM200 x 0.8% = RM1.6
RM1.6 x 12months = RM19.2

free annual fee plus RM7.2 cash back thumbup.gif

I went to MBB to change linkage of my cherry card from my Savings account to Current account.

Officer said no can do. I need to apply for a separate card for Maybank Cherry for my current. And said that I have to pay RM12 for that as well -.- Both cards will have same ATM capability, just different account to deduct money from.

Since my Maybank2u is connected to my Savings account cherry card I really dowan to cancel the card but it's ridiculous to keep 2 cards around. Apala.

I have always been under the impression that Alliance Bank debit Mastercard doesn't give any rebate on petrol transaction. Can anyone confirm this ?

The current highest petrol rebate given out by any debit card is actually RHB Bank Cash-Connect VISA at 2%. It is a limited time offer only though whereas the 0.8% rebate given by PBB D2D VISA is permanent.
