QUOTE(saw2001 @ Jan 18 2010, 04:46 PM) Maybank debit card can do online transaction online? for under18? I think you can't. Because if i'm not mistaken, they do not allow anyone below the age of 18 to activate M2U. Without access to M2U, you won't have access to MSOS. So i guess you can't use it for online transaction, whether the site requires Verified by VISA password or not. This post has been edited by MilesAndMore: Jan 18 2010, 05:25 PM

AFAIK, for maybank, if you're under 18, you can access mb2u, but you can't transfer funds to open 3rd party account, and the only thing you can do is check your balance. There are very limited options available in mb2u for under 18

I was linked both Public Bank Visa Electron and Tune Money Visa Debit card to my Paypal account. I can purchase items from eBay anytime once I bank in my money to my debit cards.

I didn't see any notice that existing HLB regular ATM cardholder can switch for free ... One good thing is that the annual fee is only RM8 compared to Public Bank's RM12 and RHB Bank's RM15 - RM20.

Where you get the news of changing ATM card for debit card for free?Source please... I learned from HLB website which says the issuance and annual fee of RM8 will be charged. Nothing free though compare to MBB. However, one interesting point is that " The other features of the new Hong Leong Debit Card are the limited loss liability of RM150 which helps to allay fears of using the debit card." Does that means our maximum losses if our debit card being stolen is limited to RM150?Then this will be a good feature compare to other banks debit card. I got a letter/brochure from HLB offering to change my existing ATM card to the new debit card.
Maybe your letter/brochure is on the way... I think it applies to all existing current/saving account holder (since I'm just a normal customer).

The RM8 annual fee is here to stay. I think what people are interested to know is whether existing ATM cardholders can switch to this new card without paying a cent.
Free conversion is not available for Maybank Cherry VISA debit card. Initially Public Bank didn't allow free card conversion either but i guess response wasn't too good then, so they decided to allow existing ATM cardholders to switch to the new PBB D2D VISA debit card for free since mid-July last year.

How should i do to add funds in my debit card and set the transaction limit? If you mean by PB D2D Visa Debit card, you just need to keep pumping money into your PB account which linked with that card. The transaction limit should be able to change either over the counter or at any PB ATM.
