I was huh, then ask him have u called? -he answer, yes, and we decided to process your request of iPhone 1st. -i was stunned, but answered ok, thanks. then he do the handling process, get my IC, my sim card, click & type on the computer, filled up the form, opened the box of iPhone, take out and insert my existing sim card into iPhone, goto another computer to do UNLOCK, done take out sim card returned to me, after short while he doing something in front the computer, he told my iData 3 plan can only be activated by tomorrow and now using the iPhone everything will be on charge for the data used, i said ok then i wont insert sim card and start using it, and asked do i get inform when my iData 3 plan activated. He said he will called or i'll get sms, he also not sure. [this paragraph action was not in sequence, i cant recall, but processing time taken more than 30 mins] i was like... ill... then i asked him, can u call me when my iData 3 plan activated because u will do the activation for me right, and i need to check my current credit limit & do upgrade of the credit limit, because i only get RM100 credit limit for my new Value Plus 50, added RM99 sure over credit limit, then i get barred for every billing cycle? he answered, this credit limit u have to call center to do it, here we cannot do one. wow great, adding more subscription plan to my existing Value Plus 50 plan will cause my self fall in the over credit limit threshold, i really dun understand. Then he said, he'll help me check out once my iData 3 plan activated, will my credit limit auto upgraded, if no he will let me know when he called me to notify my iData 3 activated, then i need to call center my self, another thumb up. finally, prepared the contract document, i need to sign on a paper which all around stated 24 months, i was helo, my purchase was a 12 months contract, then he strike off 24 and write on 12, excellent right. then i need to make payment, written a bill, RM1990, i corrected him that i did paid RM200 deposit, he go inside back office double check, strike off the RM1990, write RM1790, another wonderful action. Then i only hand in my credit card for payment of RM1790. Signed the contract document, credit card receipt, get the iPhone, contract photostat copy & receipt for customer copy. And that's it. Everything done, before i left, i asked him, many stock came in today, he answer everyone, all came in today, i tell him, u didnt know how many action i had taken. anyway will update the call check from center this morning after lunch. also another frustration thanks guys |

OMG, that's certainly alot of hiccups to get you iphone, even hiccups after u get your iphone. can see the frustration that u r at for the super long list that u have written. It's obvious that Maxis is having a serious internal communication break down as they do not seem to liaise among themselves on updates of their clients. It's funny when they say that they have to prepare some documentation as they could do that in minutes (it's just copy and paste of name, details and package, as i do believe that they have standard formats). And with regards to their 'striking of errors' in the contract, do u get them to sign on top of those errors? i am not that into legal matters, but if i am not wrong, the contract will not be legally binding. meaning to say, they can still say that u signed for the 24 year contract and u r the one who strike it off and put 12 and bla bla bla (correct me if i am wrong, as i am not sure about this either) Initially i thought that if i forgot to bring my official receipt, it wouldn't matter as they have my records and my i.c would have been sufficient enough. But after ur news on, them forgetting that u paid the rm200 deposit, i think i will bring my receipt with me. (guys, if u had the same thought as me, pls bring ur receipt with you when u collect and dun assume that they will remember that u paid ur rm200). hmmm.. i guess i will have the same hiccups with u on the credit limit. My current credit limit is Rm750. i wonder how much left i will be given with the new plan. I am currently booked for ivalue 1 and idata 2 plan. But it's funny that they say that u have to call call centre urself coz i upgraded my credit limit thru the maxis branch centre itself without calling any call centre. Hope that u get r hiccups settled and thanks for the feed backs. |

That's worst. They only focus on sales but not after sales service. But anyway, happy for u that u received the phone. Most important, CHECK the contract before u sign anything. She apologized for that, i accepted, i know not her fault eventually. Then i start query about the credit limit issue, and explained to her why i'm worry about this. She said she can help me upgrade the credit limit, and with the good thing that i no need to pay in deposit for the upgrade credit limit request, because as i'm new POSTPAID subscriber to Ma**$, i haven build up my payment reputation, so upgrade of credit limit need to get approval & pay deposit. Then she asked me how much i want to set for my credit limit. I answered back with another question, how the billing going to be when i have data usage, it's going to be like data use, charges applied then only rebate the amount, which is the current billing process on my Value Plus 50 plan, call charges, sms charges etc applied then rebate 50 or lower. i explained further because it's going to be i'm going to use 3GB at 1 cent (RM0.01)/ kb or 0.5 cent(RM0.005)/ kb, that i not sure which one applied, then hypothectically i can used up around 3GB = 3000MB, 3000MB = 3,000,000KB, charge amount will be RM30,000 = 3,000,000 * RM0.01 or RM15,000 [RM0.005], so my credit limit need to be RM30k or RM15k? wao. Now, the extreme part, she answered all my data usage wont be calculated into unbill, ONLY those exceeded 3GB will be calculated at 0.5 cent. I'm surprice now, i asked for repeat and explain of the statement, this because when the time i make the order with iData 3 plan, the customer service at MEP confirm with me there is no charges after exceeded the 3GB data threshold. Off topic abit for the history... That time i did do double confirm by visit the MEP center more than twice, at 1st i'm just surveying what is the option i can have, 2nd the iData plan was locked by Ma**$ center, order on iData plan must goto Ma**$ Center, and only iData 2 & 3 available which have contract, anyhow after that week, on next monday they will get latest instruction from Ma**$. Ok lor i goto Ma**$ Center at Sunway Pyramid to check out on sunday, the customer there tell me that i need to wait for 45 days, which the MEP mentioned 3-4 weeks, that's why i make the order at that place. Anyhow the order only can be made on wednesday, because monday i visit again, they still haven get latest instruction & approval to sell iData plan. ...Back to topic That time before i place order i already question about the value added service from my Value Plus 50 plan, RM99 for unlimited package vs iData 3 RM99 3GB. I judge that i can accept it's actually same as RM99 unlimited package, after 3GB the connection will throttle which same with unlimited package applied (haha this also didnt stated clearly at the form when i upgrade to postpaid from prepaid, which the form there can tick to apply RM99 unlimited package). This is the explanation from the MEP customer service about the plan, now customer service from center, HER is telling me the iData 3 i sign up will have charges after exceeded 3GB at 0.5 cent, helo, i didnt get this information before this and neither there is any statement made in brochure or web site. (Why misleading information or hidden information happened all over the place, i have consumer right, ya, go do something lor.. well definately.., i whispering inside my self). She apologize for the misleading info, and mentioned the unlimited package for Value Plus plan is no more provided. Bla bla bla.. Then i just answer her, now i regret wat can i do. ..... haven finish... until here 1st... wah.. too long edy.. even writing this kinda "incident report" back also make my self full stomach of will continue again.. better fill up my stomach with meal now.. later attend the MEP again.. see how ------------------------- if possible i will provide a link of my email sent to respective party thanks guys |

i enquired bout the iphone & ivalue/data packages frm berjaya times square maxis center.
those sales staff ther told me that i CANT top up my account with the iDATA packages. and need to SWITCH my value family plus to ivalue + converting my existing supp lines to main lines. i was quite supprise with the answer. as i was quite sure than existing postpaid customers can top up to iData & purchase the iphone. so i got kinda pissed off. and enquire bout it at another maxis center at maju junction. as i suspect, the sales staff frm berjaya times square maxis is jus trying to hit his/her/their own new lines/new ivalue quotas or get higher commissions. the staffs at maju junction was a bit LC at 1st. but i din bother. as they did help me with quite a lot of info. wonder why nowadays, the MASA staffs so LC = =" a few years ago, i was a MASA staff as well. though maju junction branch did indeed provide a better service than the times square staffs. or atleast they provided me with proper solutions rather than jus trying to hit their own sales quotas |

The SA in KLCC there has been very informative and been kind and patient enough. The only problem with that centre is that it is always pack with people. and sometimes the SA has to entertain 2-3 clients at one time. |
