Added on November 23, 2009, 9:58 amactually when i booked at MEP tmn connaught,they told me waiting period is about 2 weeks only..then after 2 weeks, i sent email to maxis customer service n they called me saying that waiting period is about 30-45 days due to worldwide shortage..n they apologize for the mistake made by MEP tmn connaught..

I have just booked my iphone 3gs yesterday at maxis klcc. They told me up front that i will get it in 30 - 45 days. 45 days the latest. I have heard from many that theirs did came after 45 days though.

When I signed up, they told me around 30 days n my booking slip also printed 30 days duration. But yesterday I asking for my status n they said... faster 30days n might be ard 30-45 days.
Y Maxis change their statement after I signed with them, sigh.

yes, many have complain abt that issue. But atleast maxis is reserving the iphone rights for maxis users only. coz my gf's sister wanna get one, but she is a digi user. she went there and wanted to buy it by cash term. the maxis told her off that there are limited stocks available and maxis users are given the priority first.

Maybe the SA want to quickly close sales. that's why he told you 30 days? He told me 30 - 45 days because i asked him directly that i heard from others that i have to wait 2 months plus. that's why he has been honest to me, i guess, since my expectations were already 2 months away.

But iphone 3gs has been out for quite awhile, till yesterday there were still many looking for the phones with over 5000+ sold by maxis (told by the SA). so not surprising that it's always out of stock.

OK, is yr booking statement state 30 days??

i did not check on that. Coz he told me 30-45 days. so i assume that i won't be getting it till January. I will go back home and have a look at my receipt and answer your question tonight.

yes, actually i got my hp at pavilion after 7days of waiting period which i booked at MEP connaught.
but after 22 days, MEP tmn connaught called me to collected my phone.
but i told them i collected at pavilion. then she said the rm200 wont be refunded.
luckily my uncle wanted to buy a iphone also, so i just help him got the iphone at tmn connaught straight away.
wondering pavilion maxis still will refund the rm200 for me again or not

i thought the rm200 is rebated into your account? just as long as u got collect your phone, the money will be rebated in 5 months time?

the MEP keep said they wont refunded coz the rm200 at MEP side and I din collect my phone at the place i booked,
so they wont refund to me.
but pavilion promised will refund but without any black and white promise.

omg. i din know there's even such an issue. kinda stupid coz i thought Maxis is regarded as a whole rather than separate individuals.

Well, for my case, i bought the iphone for my gf cannot refund Rm200 coz it's an idata plan. so mine is long gone liao. haha

yes, my hp damage last week n now I am using my mom phone.. that is y i am in hurry to get it.

omg. sorry to hear that. no wonder u r in such a rush. but i dun think u should put ur hopes that high on it arriving very soon le. i do have my doubts on maxis 'speed' sometimes.

well, it depends on your luck i guess. they are lucky to have it early. but i really wonder wat we can do to maxis if they deliver the phones to us later than the promised date. wonder if a complain letter will help.

The last time i complained to maxis was directly to the branch manager in charge. and it did speed up the process, but there were lots of hiccups here and there.

Hm i would like to check my status as well but i don't think i need as they ask me to wait atleast 3-4 weeks.
Today is only the 16th day of waiting.
If i call, i scare they thought im impatient or something..

well, there's nothing wrong in checking the status of ur purchase, since u r their customer and it does not take very long. Even if u make a purchase from apple, u r obligated to be informed on which stage the product is. may it be still in assembly, packaging, in an aeroplane or half way flying to malaysia. so dun worry abt it. u r just protecting and concerned of ur purchase. they have no right to say you. if they do, a simple complain letter to their hq should keep their butt moving

haha sabar my friend. good things always takes longer. haha (something to let u feel better, i still have 45 days to wait, counting from today since yesterday is a weekend) haha

They didnt bother to check for me
I asked them to check, any status of my booking as I show them the booking slip..n they said when iphone arrive they will call - END.
Then I said TQ n walk away @!%^R%!*(&!)(!@!@

if that's the case, e-mail a complain letter to maxis hq and state what u just told me (without the ^&**^%^&). state the name of the staff that speak with u and tembak him gao gao. tell them that u dun like being left hanging around there and wait to be called. and would wish only to get a simple update.
