wondering where to get an Iphone with prepaid plan and how to get RM 500 discount invitation ?

Finally went maxis center to collect mine today. Was busy on Sat and dun manage to get it. Btw, mine were OS 3.1. Sad! On the spot the maxis staff help me to update it to 3.1.2..

I tot should be 32GB faster than 16GB?

apparently no, since the phone has to address more memory, it is slightly slower

i received call form maxis, ask to collect my iphone 3Gs from sunway pyramid. but actually i already collect my iphone already. So can i collect it and change to prepaid plan?

i just got to say that maxis is over using their right to sell iphone. They are selling iphone to company like toyota for toyota give out for free. And because of that end user like us who want to get 1 is not able to get 1.THis sucks

Just got a call from MEP taman connaught, they said my iPhone is ready to collect.
I told her I already collected my iPhone at Pavilion, she asked y I will collected there, then i explained to her I hv no point to wait since Pavilion got stock on the spot. But after that the girl told me my rm200 deposit at MEP will not be refund since I collected my iPhone at pavilion.

I said to her, the staff @ Pavilion said that will be refund to me in following months bill. But then she said the rm200 deposit is at MEP there, impossible Maxis at Pavilion able refund to me.
My latest bill on 7 oct - 6nov didn't refund rm200 for me.
Maxis CS not so sure about the deposit also, they answered probably will refund start from next month.

Anyone booked at other places but got their iPhone at Pavilion got the refund in this month bill??

i showed them my deposit receipt b4 i collected my iphone...

Juz wan to ask, i must open up the box when i collect the iphone? can i remain sealed then just open whenever i want?

i called them up today again.. they told me mine is invitation of loyalty member. they will call me within 10working days and collect phone.. is this true? any1 get the invitation?

how to become loyalty member leh? i use maxis for so long also they tak layan... i ask how come pavilion sell away on the spot... they said promotion collaborate with pavilion and ppl need to spend certain amount of time there oni can get the phone... not sure how true is that...

if say i buy an iphone 3gs from the garage sales, then what about the ownership with maxis? what happens when i need to use the phone's warranty because its spoiled/has a problem and i cant because the phone isnt registered under me? because at the end of the day the iphone is registered under the person's name i bought the phone from right? and i dont think can change ownership.. o_O

That's great to hear.  Speaking of which, what is considered loyal member?  On record, I've been with Maxis since 1996 and I'm a bit dissatisfied I haven't been offered any privileges

Yes I did get 1 measly Blue Form but that's about it.

Anyway heard from an owner of an MEP that iphone is not lacking in stock as what Maxis made out to be. In fact, there will be more stocks coming in soon...although he didn't sound very convinced about the plans and the phone itself....makes me think twice about getting one.

Hope this is good news to some ppl....but what plays our in reality may be different as this is a suggestion that Maxis is holding back stock to create interest in the phone when it might be dwindling.....

Meaning.. outright purchase might happen anytime soon? xD

Not when you are in a monopoly situation? The conspiracy theorist will argue that Maxis is employing a bit of reverse psychology on the consumer and by creating a waiting list, it helps with the balance sheet as well? No idea, just speculation

However, I think that there is a high probability that their JIT is screwed up.....

thats why i said Ma*** is not  worth for us to sign up , somemore the rate also higher compare to other operator...which i plan to sign up my iphone plan for juz 1 year and i will quite using ma*** anymore forever !!!!!
