Nah its okay. I did a procedure listed by many people having the same problem with the iPhone 2G. I cut off .5 cm of rubber from the headphone, and now it fits perfectly. No hassle smile.gif

Anyway, if anyone else couldn't decide between the AD series from Audio-Technica and the Grados/Alessandros, here's a short review by ClieOS comparing the AD700 and an Alessandro MS-1. Bye2 $$$... cry.gif

Hehe yeah i sort of circumcised the headphone. But its for good. At least i didnt have to suffer not listening to good music on my iPhone with MS1i and waste money on an adapter. Also, it is not ergonomic i would say having adapter dangling around.

treble is really lacking in ep630 and I always wanted for more. Bass is bloated too, microphonics is bad. The good thing is it's very comfortable and very easy to wear too. EP630 is good last time when the before 2008 came out and a lot of better canalphones came out.

I saw EP650 in shops, it's the same shape as ep630 with the only difference is the metallic coating (i think). Maybe it's the same thing, just like EP635 with different cable and colour.

i know... but i dunno where can i test all of the cans.. even the pair i'm planning to buy is from online.. anyway, i did try to find various sources of reviews for the AD300, AD400, AD500, AD700, grados and alessandros. Even tried to find reviews comparing the different brands. And i try to relate the reviews to my music taste, and what sort of accessories i have (amps, soundcard, etc, none of which i have). and it seems that the AD500 is the best bet for my budget. biggrin.gif

maybe i can borrow ur AD700 and MS1i, and bro Wingster's AD500 brows.gif

A question to those alessandro's MS1i owners out there. Talk about mobility/portability, how do you guys bring about the headphone around in public with the thick cable dangling around? How do you guys prepare the headphone for a stroll around the city?

My first day has been okay so far, just that it has been a duty to actually make sure the cables are organised. Also, is the Alessandro's MS1i build a little bit shaky, it feels like i can easily move about the cans if you know what i mean?
