That's why. I am seriously caught in between Alessandro's MS1i, Sennheiser's HD555, and AKG K450. I am confused.

There's Philips SHP-895 headphone 2nd hand for sale at RM100 (comes with headphone stand too). Although it's old but for RM100 it's cheap enough to try. I have SHP-895 too and I love them soundwise, the only problem is the comfort. If you plan on upgrade to another headphone you still have the nice headphone stand to use too rclxms.gif

treble is really lacking in ep630 and I always wanted for more. Bass is bloated too, microphonics is bad. The good thing is it's very comfortable and very easy to wear too. EP630 is good last time when the before 2008 came out and a lot of better canalphones came out.

I saw EP650 in shops, it's the same shape as ep630 with the only difference is the metallic coating (i think). Maybe it's the same thing, just like EP635 with different cable and colour.

A question to those alessandro's MS1i owners out there. Talk about mobility/portability, how do you guys bring about the headphone around in public with the thick cable dangling around? How do you guys prepare the headphone for a stroll around the city?

My first day has been okay so far, just that it has been a duty to actually make sure the cables are organised. Also, is the Alessandro's MS1i build a little bit shaky, it feels like i can easily move about the cans if you know what i mean?
*
I don't use open headphones in public, it's too noisy outside to be able to enjoy the from the headphone at all. I use canalphones instead and it's much more portable and easier to store in a small case.

The sound from a cheap canalphones are better than my ksc-75 too when i tried to use it outside since the canalphones isolates the ambience noise.

Remember to be careful when setting the volume, sometimes it's hard to realize you're using it too loud especially when there's ambience noises. Headphones/earphones are more damaging to the ear than speakers at the same volume.

hippo shroom has lack of enough bass, it does has bass but things like the kick of the bass drum isn't loud enough.

How do you guy see the specs?

More Max Power the better?
More impedance better?
*
Rather than discussing about the specs, reviews are the better source to determine which one is nice.

I like to use the hippo shroom + E5 bass mode to watch movies, I can hear the conversation very clearly and I don't need subtitles anymore smile.gif

I'm dam happy I bought the Kanen KM-31 just now, I really like the sound. The isolation is good enough too. The package includes a pouch too, just wow.

I like to listen to music while having sufficient bass, so I prefer this over Hippo Shroom driven on flat equalizer setting.

From the sine wave 20-20khz sweep, it seems it have 3 peaks, on upper midrange and treble.

Hi guys, im currently using a Shure SCL2 and want an upgrade.

-Budget around rm300-rm400
-Currently using Ipod
-Mostly music
-mp3 files and some m4a lossless
-all kinds of music prefer clarity.

Might be interested in Ultimate Ears, Shure (cables are quite sturdy) and Westone.
Any recommendations at that budget range?

low end shures aren't that good. The nice ones are SE310 and SE 530. From your money mostly you can only get low end of those brands you listed.
Theres one guy selling Fischer Audio Eterna for rm250 brand new in garage sales, not sure if he sold it yet or not. But one thing for sure eterna is definitely is a very fun canalphone.

There's international shipping by MEElectronics and the price of Ai-M9 including non-priority shipping is $26.94. Anyone dare to order it? About rm90+ but seem to be having ncie SQ.

Go for noise isolating closed headphones instead of noise cancelling headphones.

It should be better than EP630, but the soundstage is smaller.

the sense of depth and space, as if the instrument is located in a location relative to you, for example 10 feet from you, abit on the right. But canalphones normally has small soundstage, compared to headphones/speakers.

ClieOS rated both PL50 and RE0 as good/average soundstage, that's for IEM's rating though and maybe still feel "in your head"

I really want to test listening RE0, i want to check the frequency response curve as people always say it's neutral.

chicaman you got my pm? I wonder if the pm system got problem or not.

SQ5 good meh? I heard it and it sounds bad to me. I thought it was some cheap audio technica models until I saw the price tag which shocked the hell outta me.
