Damn, what a steal. Was this from Yanko's own site?

It's a pity my size is almost always out of stock during sales. And the fact that I wear out my soles so quickly. So I either looks for rubber soles or request toe taps installed (which costs money and not everyone does it).

Sorry man, but 600 is already considered cheap. I would suggest that you research on ways to take care of your shoes. E.g. rotating them, how to dry them if they get soaked, using trees etc.

Practice this on 2 pairs of cheap cemented shoes like Bata or Hush Puppies or whatever you like. Then add on a cheap Loake into your rotation. Try that for a year, then add on another. And so on.

That is exactly what I did. Now I'm 5 years in and have 4 pairs. I have the approval of the Home Minister to buy another this year but I decided that unless something really special comes along, I don't need any more.

Nah. Pediwear and most all online shops can no longer stock Loake. I like my shoes snug so I won't buy online other lasts that I've never tried before.

These are just incredible for 172 US shipped. I also have an order on the way from Skolyx, from their Black Friday sale, but I think it's for other brands. I've long been wanting to pull the trigger on Yanko, though, as I think they may unfairly be falling into some middle category -- as in, they seem to be a step up (and thus not as great a value?) as something like Meermin, but not as much a step up as something like Carlos Santos (and thus not as interesting at the price). But gosh, you just got those for less than the cost of Meermins, and I have no doubt that they are considerably higher quality. I need to get some soon! Please do let us know how they wear.

Just went to Genting Premium Outlet and Clarks is having sales for all of their shoes. They priced them all at RM199 per pair. Good deal I would say.

Very nice. The darker spots on the Aldwych are intentional? Or is it just drying from some conditioning.

Drying from conditioning, so I’m back here for some reading and going to get Renomat from Shopee.
It’s time to strip the build-up from years of polishing and a lot of mishaps like failed mirror shine etc .
