What are your views on them? From the net they are top of the line for TLB Mallorca but very competitive price wise.

I can't comment much as my personal experience with dress shoes is limited to only Meermin, but these are at least a step up from Meermin, with much better leather and build quality, probably on par or slightly better than Carmina. Break in time was minimum and they're very comfortable.

I have 2 other pairs of TLB Artistas in their slim city rubber sole (one Adelaide cap toe MTO through them) which are amazing because of the durability and grip compared to leather soles. Going forward I would get their rubber soled options except for the most formal types of shoes, just more practical for Malaysian weather haha.

Hi guys, first and foremost I'm sorry to be asking about this kind of shoes here but this is what I can go for at the moment.

Saw some good promotions at Florsheim website online (Dress Shoes) and with some nice designs.

How do I get the right sized shoe for me. I wear a size 9 UK and at times size 10, also there's the width selection. Any advise.

Oh yeah also trying to sell a couple of my shoes. Links below. Sorry for the shameless plug.

Carmina double monks (snuff suede) UK 6.5
J. Fitzpatrick Windermere Oxfords (mocha calf) - UK 7.5

The sizes are quite different. The Carmina pair is very snug for me. The JFP pair has ample room in the toe box.

Yes should have gone without the medallion. Not sure what got into me when I was tinkering with the customisation tool. It was around 2am in the morning as I recall. Oh well. Still nice enough aha.

Well I'm not against medallions per se, but that's a lotta holes...

Yeah I think I chose a medallion that I never used before...

But on hindsight, given that two tones itself is kinda "busy" in and of itself, I probably preferred a clean toe cap. But minor nitpicks aside I really like it.

I have a 10% discount code for orders on Carmina's website. Let me know if anyone wants it.

I did an experiment on a 7 year old Clarks today. Shoe was trash worthy, so I figured I had nothing to lose. Used some Fiebings leather dye.

They came out wearable, as long as the glued sole stays on the shoe.

Looks great, really worth the effort
did you use any pre or post dye?

Used Ranomat. Then I wiped it with my wife's nail polish remover (80% Acetone). AfterI applied the dye, I conditioned the shoe with lexol and polish with starwax.

I'm pretty sure the upper is corrected grain, so I did not expect good result. Quite pleased with the way they turn out. Maybe one day I will have the guts to put patina on one of my better shoes

Hi. Does anyone know where i can source some tongue pads? My shoes are slightly loose on the heel area

Most sold online are insoles and/or heel grips but i’ve read that those aren’t really the best solution for mens shoes.

Much thanks

If they are fairly inexpensive (and you don't wear them anyway), just go for it! You have nothing to lose as long as you don't dive in and try it on an expensive pair.

Start by watching a couple of videos on youtube, then get yourself some Fiebings dye online (I got mine from shopee. Justified to myself that I will use them as edge dressing for my nicer shoes once I'm done with the project). Don't forget brushes, gloves and acetone to strip the shoe.

The overall process was not as difficult as I thought, especially if you are only using 1 dark color. Just make sure you strip the shoes well so that the dye can absorb into the leather. If you are using an alcohol based dye, the color will end up darker than what is printed on the bottle. The color of my dye is "medium brown", but the end result came out burgundy-ish (might not look burgundy in the photo, but I see some red tones under certain lighting). Different leather may react differently to the dye, so just be prepared for a surprise brows.gif

And make sure you cover your table/working area. It might get messy

I ordered a pair of TLB loafers in dark brown suede from Yeossal as part of their black Friday sales. It just arrived and....it's too big for me. I've never worn a roomier UK7 than this. They are out of sizes as well apart from the extremes, so I will either have to:

a. Return them
b. Sell them to someone else

They are brand new, unworn. Size UK7. The perfect dark brown -- not too light, and not too dark that it seems black. And it comes in a mixed rubber + leather sole, which I always get when I get MTO. Super comfortable and durable, yet dressy enough. It's rare to find a non-MTO pair in this sole in a style I like, which is why I jumped on it. The shoes are lined but they are softer and more comfortable than my Carmina loafers somehow.

https://www.yeossal.com/collections/black-f...ark-brown-suede

The discounted price I got it is SGD358. I'm willing to let it go at cost and without shipping fees/taxes at RM 1,100. . Since the fit is roomy, I bet many people can fit the UK7 of this pair. Let me know if anyone is interested. Need to move fast though as I'll need to decide if I want to return them.

I can COD in the KL/PJ area, or thereabouts.
