QUOTE(Kelvw @ Jul 23 2016, 06:47 PM) Reckon Zeve shoes are rapid stitched? The threads on the outsole sole don't quite correspond with the welt? i believe zeve is blake stitched.talked to the owner, young guy and doesn't really know what specific name his shoe construction is called.he only said his shoes are 'gam dan jahit' so blake stitched? |

QUOTE(marver @ Jul 23 2016, 07:58 PM) also asked him if i can send back any of his shoes if the soles wore out. he said no need because its synthetic leather solehonestly,i had better luck with tomrichshoes if you are looking to make cheap-ish shoes, their GYW start from 700 but they only do MTO now. |

QUOTE(itekderp @ Jan 27 2017, 03:56 AM) I noticed from your pictures, you only wax polish the toecaps and such. So creams on the vamp I assume. No it would not but people use cream polish for the patina and covering up any scuffs.New in this, and the thread is huge. So I'd like to ask, is cream really necessary? As far as my reading tells me, it functions to preserve the color and the conditioning effects are debatable. So assuming I use renovateur on my shoes, would putting cream serve any other purpose other than to preserve color like said? Or am I good to go if I just regularly use renovateur without polishes. Still shopping for a cream, minus the hassle of shipping from overseas. My priority is more towards protecting the shoes, cosmetics come second at this stage. Very much appreciate your input. If you are only looking to protect the shoes then get a netural conditioner and wax polish for use on areas that are prone to scuffs (heel and toes). The conditioner they sell in Clark stores is pretty good.Yellow colour |

QUOTE(itekderp @ Jan 29 2017, 09:48 PM) So basically I can get away with just renovateur/conditioners from time to time? Would the lack of cream lead to discoloration in the future though, fading through UV and all that. Light brushing and condition once in a while Not likely unless you expose your shoes to the sun 12 hours a day for months at a time but I do notice than in lower priced shoes, they tend to have a more 'muted' colour while higher ranges have that natural shine to them so some polish would help bring out some colour in them I would even suggest getting a pair of black polished binder leather shoes, a well constructed one of course in case you need a maintenance free shoe. |
