Looks like a bargain, but have that included shipping and GST?

free shipping to Msia. GST unsure yet as it has not reached Msia
if i do have to pay, i think it is still RM200 cheaper than Plal.

Restocked a bunch of Saphirs over the Black Friday sale.

Just had to try out the new Mirror Gloss polish.
Difficult to see from the pic, gloss polish on left and mirror polish on right. I use it as top up to the mirror shine and it definitely adds more lustre and definition to the reflections.

you can use black on mid brown shoes but it will create a burnished look. I tend to do it on the toe caps.

Agreed with @rayng18. We are not so into designer brands in this thread.

To me, 3.2k is way too much because you are basically paying for the brand name.

A good pair of loafers made from good quality calf, in a moccasin construction, I would say max 2k from a good shoemaker for a RTW shoe. Preferably one that only makes shoes and is not a general fashion brand like LV, RL, etc.

Not that I would ever spend that much on a casual shoe...but everyone has different priorities.

This is my personal opinion but for me LV shoes have good leather but very poor quality base. Mine spoiled just after like 10 times (or lesser )wear

3k could get you a nice pair of handgrade crockett&jones, Vass or 2 pairs of Carminas. RL purple label english shoes are made by C&J and Edward Green, however there's no flashy logos anywhere.

Can I wear leather shoes in winter? Will be going to Tokyo next January and definitely will be stepping on snow. Will it damage my shoes? Or should I just wear normal casual shoes to there?

Get the cheapest pair you can find and change every 3 months. At that kinda mileage good shoes wont last too long either

Get 3 pairs. Rotate them so that each shoe gets 2 days rest between wears. Brush them before and after every use. Put them in shoe trees when not in use.

That's basic shoe maintenance.

For individual shoes that last longer, get something that is not 100% reliant on glue. Shoes that are constructed using Goodyear welted, Blake-Rapid, or similar.

P.Lal store in Jalan Gasing is the best place in KL to get such shoes. If not in your budget, 3 pairs of Bata shoes maintained as above will still go a long way.

Just like our Malaysian rain, if your shoes get soaked, allowing them to dry naturally (don't force it with added heat) before you wear them again is key to the health of the shoe.

In winter, there is the added concern of salt stains from the salt most Councils add to their roads during winter. I don't have personal experience with this but I've read that a mixture of water and white vinegar can be used to wipe the stains away.

Salt stains are PITA. I usually take my rubber soled shoes out instead.. ones I could bash about. Mix with rain and it's a perfect storm.

Try Year end sale going in AEON or Parkson. You may be able to snag a good leather shoes and decent prices. I bought most of mine around these times anyway. And I walk a lot too.

Think the above is the best answer you can get. Also plan on buying them every few months and build your shoe base if you're not able to afford all of them at once.
