Shoes for RICH & Successful Man thumbup.gif

Cant fathom these prices. So those Rolex wielding guys are nothing compared to you Shoes trotting gentleman.

I'm not a watch enthusiast, but I do believe even an entry level Rolex is already >RM10k retail.

OTOH, the shoes in the last few pages on this thread costs "only" RM1k to RM5k.

Well, at the opposite end of the affordability spectrum, here's a look at the made in Italy double monk I got from Bata KLCC. Currently with 50pc off @ rm149.50.

Came in brown colour, but Iayered a couple of cognac shoe cream over it, and I find that it makes the colour more interesting.

Quite a bargain, if you ask me. Will take more photos of how it holds up to one day of wear, which includes 30mins walk by roadside and housing areas.

Quite well, I'd think. Wore them twice a week. Walking to and fro from LRT station by roadside for 30mins and taking at least 7000 steps on each wear, if you can believe my Fitbit.

Can see some increased creasing. Especially the sides. But I think it looks good on brown shoes. Probably not as great on black.

Maybe some of the sifus here can judge the quality of the shoe better.

Just last week, I can see they have only limited selection of shoes. All at 50% still. Some split toe bluchers, light grey toe cap oxfords. I quite like the pale brown sneakers.

Not in brown. But in black. Don't look as good in black, in my opinion.

Yes they are. Entry level brands for good dress shoes IMO.

Loake in particular holds a Royal Warrant and supplies shoes for the staff at Buckingham Palace(not for the royal family).

Just got back from HK and visited a few shoe shops namely Tassels, TheArmoury and Corthay. I'll post up a few photos when I get to it.

Also on the 6th floor of Sogo, they have revamped it to ShoeCity. Quite a lot of various brands to choose from.

I'll be in HK myself next week - Let's see if I see anything interesting.

Need another pair of shoes to complement my wardrobe - Eyeing on burgundy or calf brown brogues as I already have a pair of black oxfords.
