i think should be applicable to all, but still, no matter how gud is d bios, if d core is crippled/unstable, u won't get it run properly. QUOTE(astria @ Dec 4 2009, 12:24 PM)
my 5200+ is giving me some worries... was trying 230MHz x13.5 with vcore 1.35V (1.392V on CPU-Z during full load), ran Prime95, and the temperature shot way over 80C... even now idle is a high 4xC... during Prim95 Core 0 stopped in 1min while Core 1 throws out "ERROR: ILLEGAL SUMOUT"...
cooler is a Scythe Shuriken RevB with some cepalam thermal compound... thinking of getting better ones later though...
but seriously speaking, i can run it at 225MHz x13.5 at default voltage comfortably, though temp would hit 6xC during Prime95... is that the max i can go???
RAM used is DDR2 800MHz and i ve dropped them to 667MHz, and HT is at x4...
brisbies are known to have temp sensor problem, but from what i knw, they report d temp lower than d actual temp while in ya case it seems d other way round. last resort is to use infamous "hand" job... cooler is a Scythe Shuriken RevB with some cepalam thermal compound... thinking of getting better ones later though...

Maybe im lucky.Gigabyte has also option to enable/disable 4th Core..Maybe i should try it..Right now!?
gigabyte only offer d option to disable/enable d locked core(s) w/o d option to choose any core we wanted to thus d limitation. hopefully they'll follow suite like what asus & msi did...
