QUOTE(XiuKeong @ Dec 4 2009, 11:02 AM)
Is it any particular batch for the proc?
*
i think should be applicable to all, but still, no matter how gud is d bios, if d core is crippled/unstable, u won't get it run properly. smile.gif

QUOTE(astria @ Dec 4 2009, 12:24 PM)
my 5200+ is giving me some worries... was trying 230MHz x13.5 with vcore 1.35V (1.392V on CPU-Z during full load), ran Prime95, and the temperature shot way over 80C... even now idle is a high 4xC... during Prim95 Core 0 stopped in 1min while Core 1 throws out "ERROR: ILLEGAL SUMOUT"...

cooler is a Scythe Shuriken RevB with some cepalam thermal compound... thinking of getting better ones later though...

but seriously speaking, i can run it at 225MHz x13.5 at default voltage comfortably, though temp would hit 6xC during Prime95... is that the max i can go???

RAM used is DDR2 800MHz and i ve dropped them to 667MHz, and HT is at x4...
*
brisbies are known to have temp sensor problem, but from what i knw, they report d temp lower than d actual temp while in ya case it seems d other way round. last resort is to use infamous "hand" job... tongue.gif

QUOTE(AMDAthlon @ Dec 4 2009, 02:22 PM)
Maybe im lucky.Gigabyte has also option to enable/disable 4th Core..Maybe i should try it..Right now!? tongue.gif
*
gigabyte only offer d option to disable/enable d locked core(s) w/o d option to choose any core we wanted to thus d limitation. hopefully they'll follow suite like what asus & msi did... nod.gif

Yes mine are Rana.Well,i think the L3 is on the Defective Core.I've tried to disable each of the core and start Windows, still unstable.
Maybe need MSI mobo = =

Yeahhh! way to go lil bro! thumbup.gif
QUOTE(ah_khoo @ Dec 4 2009, 10:16 AM)
correct me if i'm wrong sis, but isn't it something similar to asus where we can choose which core to enable/disable? nevertheless, great effort by msi...  thumbup.gif

Why ur temp so high? (stock cooling i guess wink.gif )

Set ur HTT back to 200

Set ur ram to 1333mhz (or 666mhz) in the bios....set ur main timings manually...if you dont understand, find CL or CAS or Cas Latency and set it at 9

Put your ram at 1.6v or 1.7 even better...

Then save and boot...see if post...if cannot, Clear CMOS by taking out battery or short circuit the jumper marked CLRCMOS..

If you don't reply, I assume your ram settings is wrong tongue.gif
