Yeah, it's a sign of instability. I get that when I tried to unlock my 550 BE as well.

greetings, new 955BE user reporting in. icon_rolleyes.gif

i've had issues wif my proc rite after doing some mild oc, all set at auto even for the vcore. occasionally my pc tends to freeze and forced to force shutdown. even worse it can't boot after a couple of times and i need to clear out the cmos

jz now at boot screen, it says my oc setting failed so it's obviously my proc's the culprit.

and btw, there's a func tat enables a TLB bug fix in the bios, iinm its for the older phenoms?

hope can share some info guys

thx icon_rolleyes.gif

Bro cloudwan might help this as he is the pioneer in msi! unfortunately he turn into gigitbyte! wub.gif

For me,the best way is to manually set the vcore and other setting, or maybe there is something wrong with your bios~

the old bios you have might not supporting the 955 architecture yet! so reflash it!

try to reflash the bios with a new one! all da best! nod.gif

(i faced this issue before with my DK,but after reflash it with a new one,it performed well!)

Before considering a pair of rams, ensure that ur mobo have this vital points:

Voltages;
-CPU
-CPU-NB
-Ram
-NB
-SB
-HTT

Next ensure that the CPU-NB have multiplier change to allow extra performance from the unleashed speed when u go above 2400mhz  thumbup.gif

The CPU-NB Frequency setting controls the Northbridge chipset multiplier, with a 20x maximum settable. The Northbridge speed is determined by multiplying the Processor-NB Frequency and CPU/HT Reference Clock (MHz) settings. The CPU voltage can be set to a 1.9V maximum with the CPU Overvolt jumper enabled through the CPU Over Voltage option, how? rclxub.gif

Yup, changing the ACC percentage values didn't do anything for me. Only one core is faulty for me though, but I don't have a board which can unlock the cores selectively, so I'm sticking with X2 for now.

since u ask at OC thread...

1 stick easier to OC compared to 2...or compared to 4sticks..
so dual channel make the ram harder to OC oso...so do gang mode...
1gb stick easier to OC compared to 2gb..same goes as 2gb stick vs 4gb stick...due to the capacity each ramchip carries.. (depends on the IC oso)

am i answering ur question? tongue.gif
owh guys... pls correct me up there pls... i just hantam2
