anybody knows how to set up maxis 3g gprs connection with this phone? i tried to configure by *136# but maxis replied that theres no configuration for this phone.. wonder how..

Mine was set up automagically when the phone starts.

mine got ask wan to use Maxis 2G or Maxis 3G

Just select 3g

hmm...i installed spb shell 3.0 into my phone and it's smoother compared to samsung UI(not as pretty though) but today i encountered one problem, I went to launcher and the screen turn black but I can still see the top bar (i.e. the start button, large indicator and the x)...it does nothing after i clicked the back button or the reject button...but i still can go into different application by touching the blank screen... i gotta restart my phone..anybody encountered that b4??

and i realized it took so long to switch to qwerty keyboard during sms...something it doesnt even switch..

still love my phone though...but quite jealous when i see my colleague's iphone is so bloody smooth..

Try take some photo with the iphone and try do video call on your Omnia 2. Your iphone friends will be very jealous coz they have a crappy camera and can't do video call. LOL.

Im using spb3.5 and it worked like a charm, almost as smooth as iphone in most cases. Maybe you should install the latest SPB 3.5.. try google it for "cheaper alternatives". Almost all items are big enough for my big finger. I do encounter the same problem as you do after i installed spb.. my qwerty keyboard doesnt appear anymore after i tilt the phone. So i resorted the badger's solution by edit registry of the phone, setting one of the buttons to rotate the screen. It worked like a charm and my qwerty keyboard reappear after i press the button. Also, with the button im able to run garmin on landscape mode, which with the 3.7" AMOLED, it's awesome.

very smooth and there's a 3d message viewer built within in..have u tried it?it's like htc sms..but with senders' photos..
my qwerty still appears on ladscape mode wo...even though sometimes a bit slow..anyway i have no problem typing in potrait mode as well...my thumb ain't that big..

hi guys ~ i have a few problems... i can watch youtube for the past few days but suddenly yesterday it wont play again... it pops up server or data timeout again. i didnt change anything whatsoever. it happens when i was halfway watching it. what should i do? kinomafreeplay somehow wont play any youtube video for me....

and can o2 take picture using the 2nd camera (the camera at front)? its hard to turn your hand and take picture by using the back camera only..

Have you try soft reset (turn off and turn on again, not standby mode)?
As for using 2nd camera, the resolution for the 2nd camera is not so good. I don't think it is a good idea to use it to take photo...

what do you mean by standby mode? i have tried turning off and turning on the phone but it didnt worck... anymore ideas? i can watch youtube video if it is embedded to other site. is there a way to play youtune video without using the streaming player?

i think the 1 i'm using is 3.5...the dl link i used put there 3.0 but i check my spb version at the 'about' page it states there version 3.5.0..

btw, how to edit registry of the phone?

I am also wondering if we can make the phone landscape in all apps and screens like htc touch pro 2 , i mean even the home screen, last time the Omnia i900 can do that if i am not mistaken?
