Say, can anyone advice me how to copy the contacts from SE K750i to Omnia II? I read a bit somewhere suggesting to sync old phone to MS-OUTLOOK and then from MS-OUTLOOK sync to Omnia??

QUOTE(HoneyBadger @ Oct 4 2009, 10:05 AM) Now i hsave shit load of problem trying to sync the SE K750i to the notebook. It has gazillion problems with bluetooth (ie, doesn't work) and now i use the USB cable, it can detect the phone, but the sync still fails...Sony Ericsson PC Suite is utterly crap compared to Nokia PC Suite, which has tons of features and more importantly, IT WORKS. Sigh...now still trying to figure out how to get those contacts in...i wonder if i can send from the K750i to Omnia II directly via BlueTooth...wishful thinking.... |

I've finally managed to transfer my contacts from K750i to Omnia II...long story...
anyway, now got another problem. I bougth a 8GB SDHC card for the phone. How do i format it? I don't even know where to check the storage availability of the phone! It's so much easier on a Symbian...Maybe Omnia too canggih..too much function ler... |

QUOTE(LuVz @ Oct 4 2009, 10:11 PM) Thanks. Found that out last night after much searching. It's at the bottom of the screen...needs to scroll down then only can see. Ok, now, is there a way to have a 'NEW SMS' shortcut on the homescreen somewhere? I think i found some method by using a shortcut to a 'tmail.exe' program. Is there any more elegant way? Basically, i want a button to click and enable SMS to blank ID, which i then can select. Currently, it can only be select name from list of contacts, then only select NEW SMS. QUOTE(nghj @ Oct 6 2009, 06:47 AM) Not now. My wife just start using the phone, suddenly i go change her UI, sure kena wan...lol.Anyway, i've uninstall the SPB 3.5, but the problem is, the bottom right shortcut which is previously 'PhoneBook' still appears as 'SPBHOME' and when i click it it gives an error message... Frankly, this is my first experience with Win Mobile....can't say i like it.....i still think my Nokia 5800 Symbian OS much more user friendly despite not having so many fancy eye candy. btw, how do i make the OMNIA II rotates?? It seems only to rotate in SMS screen...other screens cannot? Symbian OS does a much better job at this really... Having a vertical screen for QWERTY key-ing in sucks..... Is there somewhere to set this so that it will rotate to landscape whenever i turn it? |

QUOTE(chyaw @ Oct 6 2009, 03:50 PM) I think the person that answer you doesn't know anything. Samsung already received the new win mobile 6.5, but we don't know when Samsung finish tweaking it. Probably, still, whatever the reason, it is still not available yet.Come to think of it. It's still 5th October 2009 in the US now? So maybe it'll be release tomorrow. |

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Oct 14 2009, 02:25 AM) New English version Firmware is out! I8000XXIJ3 is base on newer WM 6.5 build 21863.5.0.67 May i ask, where did you get this firmware and from which country? Is it compatible with local sets?? Still nothing on official Samsung website ler. ![]() ![]() Pros: - Overall seems smoother. - WiFi, GPRS, MMS all working. - Application Store is back but not working in my locale. (May already appear in previous version, due to I select EE which not included) - The logo show correctly when not connecting to internet. - New program call "Rich Internet" - Copy contact from SIM to Phone is Speedy now! - Add files in Samsung Media Player is faster now! - The WiFi continue ON even plugin to PC (not working on previous IJ1 version) Cons - Still RAM eater, doubt temporary at the moment not much changer already. - Windows Default - Today plugin keep showing as London, Dublin nor-matter how I set the clock. ** Fix below **On back the Samsung Widget Plus and then pull out the dual clock setting, and change the 1st clock which is London to your locale. Done! Link: Part1 - http://rapidshare.com/files/292006374/XXIJ3.7z.001 Part 2 - http://rapidshare.com/files/292007240/XXIJ3.7z.002 Password: Modaco Please use 7zip to unzip。 No mirror please, requested by the owner: Panateo. *** Overall I recommended this IJ3 than previous IJ1, it is more speedy and stable. Attached with 2 photos taken using I8000XXIJ3 firmware. Now is really late already, so temporary only have 2 indoor photos. More will come shortly (maybe tomorrow): ![]() ![]() |

QUOTE(lord @ Oct 17 2009, 03:17 PM) Just wondering, what's in a standard package for fmg set? I wanna get this phone soon and wanna know what to check..just in case.. I think it's pretty standard. For RRP RM2399, you get everything...including bluetooh headset + 4GB card. If you buy the discounted set, usually around RM2050, it'll exclude these two items, but include other basic stuff like charger, headphone, USB cable, pouch, stylus and CD.thanks Added on October 17, 2009, 3:32 pm QUOTE(HoneyBadger @ Oct 16 2009, 03:34 PM) then download this file ... and read the guide here .. make sure you choose I8000XEUIJ6.csc for the 'CSC file select' Thanks. One more question. Is it possible to backup existing ROM so that i can flash back to ori ROM if anything goes wrong?? Any guides? This post has been edited by Matrix: Oct 17 2009, 03:32 PM |

btw, i'm currently using SPB 3.5, after much tinkering, i think this is a much superior shell then Samsung...not to mentioned way faster too! Heck, now i don't even bother about WinMo 6.5...
I've downloaded the VITO Chat...seriously, this is how SMS should be, not that clunky horrible WinMo SMS editor, which Samsung TouchWiz UI is based on. SMS threading, easy fowarding, multiple recipient etc are added easily. My wife will love this. I almost regret buying this phone coz she keeps complaining so many user unfriendliness issues... So far this is what my wife has complained and how i resolve it....life is tough for the husband who has to do technical support for the wife!!! 1) No direct way of creating NEW SMS - default Samsung interface goes into WinMo with clunkiness that requires like 3 steps to create new SMS. Solution: Create a shortcut link to the TMAIL.EXE(with parameters) and dump it into the \Windows\Menu folder. 2) Sorting of contacts by Last Name, then First Name... Solution: Use a software called 'Contact Changer v13'. (Thanks to the guys here!) 3) Cannot foward SMS!!! Solution: The option is hidden in the Reply->Foward menu option in WinMo SMS...really stupid design. Solved by VITA SMS. So easy to use! With SPB 3.5, the usability is so much better, but i miss something from Samsung widget though. Can i get those widget to run in SPB 3.5? Like Yahoo FInance...this is very useful to keep the fav stock code in the list. Any ideas?? |

Guys...i have another problem now with SPB 3.5....
In the left Homescreen, there was a nice big widget that shows many weather info by default. I've accidentally removed that widget and can't find it again. There's only a small widget that shows the detail when you press it, but the default widget shows many info in a medium sized box. How to get it back?? |

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Oct 17 2009, 07:59 PM) Press and hold the widget and then choose "Change Skin" to select others layout. Thanks! Reply your previous question: - Samsung Widget Plus is Today Plugin while SPB 3.5 is standalone. Means you can run both without issue. AS for the Samsung Widget Plus, what i meant is , is there a way to drag those widget into SPB homescreen? |
