QUOTE(lhongwuh @ Sep 30 2009, 03:14 PM) QUOTE(yfyap69 @ Sep 30 2009, 03:09 PM) Is it normal to see the message "New SIM card detected" everytime you on the phone? The new SIM card message only appear the first time you insert it, then it will ask you whether you want to load your SIM contacts and Server settings into your device. Choose to download the Server settings and anything regarding the SIM contacts, after that it will not show the new SIM message anymore. QUOTE(LuVz @ Sep 30 2009, 07:04 PM) how can i get [ New SPB Mobile Shell 3.5 in Samsung OMNIA II ] SPB Mobile Shellis it themes or software ? It's an User Interface Added on September 30, 2009, 9:02 pm QUOTE(bluhound @ Sep 30 2009, 07:51 PM) Strange, mine a few other friends all have the same pop-up every time we soft reset our phones. As for me, the pop-up asks on what should the data transfer be on 2G or 3G. So, what did you choose? 2G or 3G?The firmwares which I know happens like mentioned above are on G1, G6, G7(mine) and H3. When I got mine, it was G7 and now updated to H3, both don't have such problem. You can try go to [Start] > [Settings] > [Network Settings] > [Network Options], under Network selection choose Manual. See if that helps? This post has been edited by Omnian: Sep 30 2009, 09:04 PM |

I mean, how many of those mentioned was not already in v3.0.1?
Look at what they've replied to my enquiry: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « They've build this version with only HTC in mind. We, Omnia owners also paid for the license and they made it only for HTC??? v3.0.1 was my first purchase and the next "FREE" update is only support for HTCs! QUOTE(bluhound @ Sep 30 2009, 11:28 PM) Of course it currently won't work with mskip's widgets. Version 3.5 was only released two days ago..... I know that, and I'm only using mskip's skills to show that what we can already do with v3.0.1, which IMO, looks better than v3.5Give them time.... |

QUOTE(bluhound @ Oct 1 2009, 09:42 AM) In the Modaco forum, there is a thread mentioning that Windows Mobile has threaded messaging but Samsung disabled it by default. There is a way to re-enable it but you will lose MMS support. With THIS, you won't miss the MMS.Added on October 2, 2009, 2:15 pm QUOTE(bluhound @ Oct 1 2009, 08:52 AM) If you have read the previous posts, it explains clearly why Omnia and Omnia II are not supported. Anyway, I'll explain it again. I knew that.» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Anyway, IMO, it's an upgrade, new tech should be applied with backward compatibility. QUOTE(Mooshi @ Oct 7 2009, 09:01 AM) I have some problems connecting to the WIFI...what gives? When you're connected, you'll have an icon (1) on your taskbar and you'll also see the signal bars (2) below your connection name.» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « ![]() If you can't connect, maybe you have the password entered wrongly, or try move nearer to you wireless hub, without any walls or partition in between your hub and device. QUOTE(Mooshi @ Oct 7 2009, 09:43 AM) Thank you very much. If the 2 arrows of the taskbar icon is moving, it means that there are data transfering or your device is trying to connect to your router. What i can see is for: 1) The icon on top has the two arrows keeps moving in both direction. Does this means connected or is it not suppose to animate? 2) I can't remember this one, but i'll check Also in my case, the WIFI AP (In this case, PRESHION icon), the blue circle and the dotted line will keep flashing. I have rule out incorrect password because even an open connection is also the same. Distance is also not a problem as i'm sitting next to the WIFI modem router!!! When trying to connect, the blue circle and dotted line will keep flashing, but once it is connected it'll stop. Do you have the signal bars below the connection name? ADD: Try unhide your WIFI router. This post has been edited by Omnian: Oct 7 2009, 11:22 AM |

QUOTE(Mooshi @ Oct 7 2009, 10:27 AM) Thanks, the WIFI is already unhide. But i'm broadcasting multiple SSID...primary hidden and locked, secondary unhidden and unlocked. Can you try delete off both SSID and restart your device. At least now i know what to look for. I don't think i've ever seen the flashing stopped. At the meantime, set your SSID to unhide, but with a password (security lock). Search and add your (new) SSID on your device. |

Actually OMNIA II is my 1st device base on Windows Mobile. I still new on it) There...your "Settings" I get back all the default Windows Mobile setting (not Samsung one) from SPB Mobile Shell.
