Ole, firstly you need to obtain 3G setting from yr operator. Mine is Maxis as follow:

Maxis Mobile Internet 3G
Access point name: unet
Username:
Password:
Account name: Maxis 3G WAP
Proxy server address: 202.75.133.49
Proxy server port:80

MMS 3G
Access point name : unet
Username :
Password :
Account name : Maxis 3G MMS
Proxy server address : 202.75.133.49
Proxy server port : 80
Service center address : http://172.16.74.100:10021/mmsc

For 3G Internet
On Main menu -> Setting -> Basic Setting -> Network setting -> Operator setting -> select Maxis 3G -> Done.
Back to Main menu -> Setting -> Advanced setting -> Connection -> Connection -> tab "My Internet - Manage existing connection -> "edit" Maxis 3G Internet.
Connection name: Maxis 3G Internet (whatever you like)
Select a modem: Cellular Line (GPRS) -> next
Access Point: unet -> Next
user name: <empty> -> password: <empty> -> Domain: <empty> -> Finish.
Back to "connection page" -> tab "Manage Existing connections" -> tab on "Proxy Setting" at the bottom.
Tick on both boxes and enter the proxy server IP, Maxis was as above = 202.75.133.49 -> ok.

Quick Test 3G internet connection: tab "Manage Existing connections', tab 'modem' at the bottom -> tab and hold the "Maxis 3G Internet" -> select connect.
~Mine connected now~ icon_rolleyes.gif

For 3G MMS
Goto your Samsung 'SMS/MMS Inbox' page -> tab Menu -> MMS options.
Select Profile -> Edit (or new) Profile
MMS Profile: Maxis 3G MMS -> MMSC: http://172.16.74.100:10021/mmsc -> Data Connection: Maxis 3G MMS -> Gateway: WAP 2.0 -> IP Adress: 202.75.133.49 -> Port: 80

I have installed resco snake V1.10 & bubles V1.40, the game can be lauched but not able to control & calibrate the G sensor in I8000.Any of your guys have this problem? FYI,those game is latest version which claimed support in i8000. Trial version of game can be downloaded from Resco site http://www.resco.net/games/windows/download.aspx

don't think the stock Samsung keypad has it. You can try out Touchpal
http://www.cootek.com/download.aspx
it has the phone keypad that you asked for...

I found out that only on some occasions the mode button will light up. e.g. When typing SMS, the mode button lights up but when on Messaging main screen, it is dimmed.

Depends. If your fingers are small, they you may be able to type faster. As for those with big hands (particularly the thumbs, like me), it takes getting used to. First week, I was constantly sending SMS with lots of typos , accidentally hitting the letter next to the the one I want.. (e.g. u becomes i, e becomes w etc.)

lol..me too! but just after 2 days i managed to get used to it..no more typo now ^^ (my thumb is around 2.5cm in diameter eh.. tongue.gif )
well, when reply, if u feel uneasy i will recommend u to use the 12 keypad mode..will be easier.

IMO, the xt9 is SH1T! i hate tat function..cz i dun type sms in PERFECT english and i type a lot of dialects/chinese words in ABC..so its pretty annoying with tat xt9 mode on...
