all my podcasts are free (legitimately) actually.

just have to be a little creative with your keyword terms in the iTunes search box.

off topic, but having this, as my third generation iPhone now, my life pretty much evolves around it already.

Sorry if this question is asked & answered b4. No luck after asking Uncle Google & Forum search tool.

Is there a way to delete all sms in one go without installing 3rd party app?

@scorgio,
I don't think there's a short cut delete all but U can go to Edit and start checking the "-" and then the "Delete" button for all the SMSes - U haf loads of SMS that U need an entire app to do it?!

Bought used iPhone.
There're like 200+ sms.

Then no choice, have to do it one by one.

Thanks.

@seattle77 & wassap,
On the contrary, when you're on 3G phone calls can come in.  Apparently, U aren't able to surf EDGE/3G when you're on a call though.

Hi Wassap/Tinkerbel

Thanks for the sharing. I tried to bring it back to Maxis centre in Ipoh and they claimed that I should be able to receive calls while using GPRS/EDGE. They keep trying with their SIM card in my phone, and did resetting on carrier, network etc but it doesn't work.

They have lodged the problem to Maxis HQ and ask me to wait for 3 days while Maxis engineer will get back to me.

It would be very inconvenient though to not able to receive calls while on EDGE or GPRS. In my area the 3G was not really covered.

@scorgio,
The previous buyer actually left all his hot & saucy SMSes for U to read?! Ah well.. U haf fun deleting it one by one then *smiles* Or, just do a restore so U can restore the entire iPhone and start from new - but be warned the apps will also be deleted along with everything else biggrin.gif

@seattle77,
I've just tested; 3G/EDGE works when you're on a call and vice versa.

try to reset network settings first.

settings -> general -> reset -> reset network settings.

if that fails and you are sure that you have not disabled any network input via your cydia/installer, i can only suggest that you do a full restore, without the backup, as a new iPhone

OK.. I searched and viewed numerous threads but unable to find an answer particularly for the new iPhone 3GS running OS 3.1

The issue I am facing is:

I would like to transfer all my contacts from my old phone (Sony Ericsson) to my new iPhone 3GS. Is there a way to do this? Also can bluetooth be used to transfer contacts?

Thanks in advance.

from your SE phone, copy your contacts to the SIM card first.

and from there, use the function on the iPhone to copy over.

or, if you are move tech savvy, use the preloaded SE software on your PC and transfer the contacts to outlook and synchronise via iTunes
