i did check out those tips n search before i post this.. but those does not works on me..
before i ask my friend to upgrade it for me.. the edge works fine on my iphone.. now, after upgrade, my edge cant be use, but i still see the "E" on top which mean i have edge coverage. and i went to the setting and set on
APN: digimms
Username: mms
Password: mms
but it dont works..

so i did change it and still doesn't works..

on setting>general> network> there is this "VPN" do i need to configured it?

It's very hard to capture the image. It's definitely not a pixel. It's like boxes formed by 10x10 pixels.

Those that you saw are matrices on the touch screen membrane. The iPhone uses capacitive touch screen and those matrices acts as a digitizer to register your touches into electronic digital signals to the iPhone OS.

I am having this prob, when i choose from 3g off to 3g on, the signal is ok, but after a while if i off the 3g, it shows no service. Even under settings - carrier it doesn't show anything, if i click into carrier, it will take some time to search, and later on display maxis digi etc. However if i click onto maxis, it will show network lost.

Anyone experienced this before?

I am on iphone 3gs maxis, 3.0.1 JB

is there anywhere to download iphone games other than itune store?

I believe that is because of the Telco coverage issue on your area. I did come across this kind of problem sometimes.

what happen to my iphone which i juz upgraded to OS 3.1 and charge overnight ...but it still did not show the batter usage and standby time at all

it should be ok. what i did was restore my iphone which is firmware 3.1 and set it up as a new iphone. hope that work

i did encounter this problem with the 3.0.1 firmware on my i3gs. when i switch 3g on, sometime it shows no service even after i switch it off back. restart the phone did fix the signal problem but sometime it did happen again. well it does fix after i upgrade the firmware 3.1 and set it as new iphone. not sure if it work with firmware 3.0.1.

Ya I had that problem too. I believe the iPhone 3G has a weak transceiver because it is behaves poorly especially when there is a weak 3G signal and strong EDGE. It doesn't fall back but instead stick to 3G but signal bar is 1 bar or less. As a result battery performance is poor and signal quality is horrible. Switching to EDGE manually will cause it to drop from service. And it will take a long time to recover signal unless restart.

Maxis is also to be blame. I still think their network is not fully optimized for iPhone.
