I've not posted my hamster's pictures in a long while. So hard to snap pictures when she can hardly stay still lol

Meet Min. I cannot remember she was hamster number what lol.

She's...a cinnamon half-banded ruby-eyed hamster. Or is it cream? Someone clarify me on this.
You can only see the beautiful redness when there's light. Don't think it is ruby gene though...both parents are normal eyed.

The photos didn't show her redness, so it was a surprise when we saw her in real life.

She's quite a sui chia hamster though. Will not want to be caught if she's not ready. Something like a cat in a hamster body.

hey why does my winter white always play with water?? i noticed her bedding always get wet, then i change the bottle with a new one, but today morning i see, the bedding wet again! whats wrong with her @@

Is ur bottle leaking?Cos mine sometimes will play also but not until dat bad.Try to buy something to let it chew

B4 buying another 1,u hav to knw theres risk for them to fight(same sex) or breed(diff sex)...So my advice is dun get another 1,they wont die frm boredom lol...If u still insist then i think it is better to get another cage/tank to keep the other 1 incase they fight.

Sounds like ur hamster got diabetes to me,isit?Or is ur house bcome warmer?Wat food u fed it recently?Isit high of sugar content?Anyway it is best for u to take ur hamster for a checkup

Well bred hamsters have rounder faces than what we usually see in petshops. She's naturally broad and square too.
She's docile but can be fussy. We still spoil her to bits though lol!

Hey people, i got some questions here:

1. Currently Im feeding my hamster vitakraft emotion but now I want to mix it up with other vitakraft range, how do i introduce it to my hamster?

2. In the front page, it is stated that we need to feed the hamster fresh food daily, but as i read on the internet, most of the site stated that fresh food need only be treated as treats. So please someone explain more about this to me.

urgh one of my winter white is drinking from food bowl rather than water bottle =.= he is such a weird hamster..

1. U can try by mixing a small ratio of the newly bought vitakraft 1st.Mayb can start frm 8:2 then to 7:3 and so on.Actually mine will just eat vitakraft without me introduce to it

2. Fresh food is to provide them more nutrients and fibre.I think wat most of the sites meant is dun feed too much of fresh food dat contains high amount of sugar and moisture?This is to prevent ur hamster frm getting diabetes and diarrhea,so choose the fresh food carefully b4 feed to ur hamster

There is water in ur hamster food dish?
Take away the bowl and it will drink frm the bottle

well he likes kuaci alot so we gave him quite alot everyday,somesort of all u can eat buffet--is that high is sugar?

Frankly, i never feed my hammie kuaci b4..because it doesnt benefits them... and it will make them addicted...

There are so much other treats better than kuaci..

Please reduce the amount u feed..mayb 1-2 perday would do.

my WW (mr indy) has been eating Burp! for a while..there's a lot of kuaci n corn ,,, he loves corn...and he drinks a lot of water too...he has all the diabetes symptoms... what should i do? i feed him carrots daily as well...
