I have a problem

Min bit the bottle until she broke her tooth. It was also disturbing our sleep as well...but my dad is so paranoid she said she won't drink if I change place.

Everytime I change the bottle's place to internal bottle system is put it back outside. We noticed that she doesn't drink as often if it's not in the usual place.

He is scared she won't drink enough and get dehydrated. I said she will drink and I saw her drink but won't believe me

So what's happening in the hamster scene now? Any cahnges of coat or breed in the market? Every hamter I see now is a banded or half-banded....rarely see solids anymore.

Aduih this is called lame marketing scheme.

Her face is a lot flatter than Tiny, and I guess that's how hamster are supposed to look like....not mousy

How many people here accidentally kicked their hamster while they're inside the ball?

Soemtimes Min runs into a dark room or appear by surprise, so accidenally kicked her several times already

Bought from Bobiac about 12th July. She's about 3 months old or so now

So so cute! She feels soft but she pushed down wheels and turned houses upside down before.

Where is the gathering and when?

Kajang is too far...and I don't want to put my hamster under travelling stress. Human can stress, what more hamster XD

I am worried if Min will behave herself when we go on holiday...because she tore down the entire place before and we have to put everything back upright

by the way hay isn't a really good idea to use as main bedding.You can scatter some around but they don't absorb as well as corn cob or paper pallets.

I still prefer recycled paper in the end because they really cut down the smell. Give some shredded toilet paper for your hamster to make a nest

The recycled paper bedding is Breeder Celect. Too bad I don't have the machine to clean off the ink and turn them into pallets on my own. Would have saved a ton of cash because my dad buys 3 papers every day

Pet shop? More like Nazi death camps . Very few pet shops in malaysia care about hamsters. Good thing there's a few who really care for them (those approved by the forumers here)

I think Minmin doesn't really like us to handle her. She kept wanting to squirm and wiggle out of our hands, jumping too. She wants to run, run, run and run run run run run

Not to mention when I make a movement it makes her jump in freight sometimes O_o

Green balls....are mysterious green balls. They could be coloured flour for all we know

Meet Min. I cannot remember she was hamster number what lol.

She's...a cinnamon half-banded ruby-eyed hamster. Or is it cream? Someone clarify me on this.
You can only see the beautiful redness when there's light. Don't think it is ruby gene though...both parents are normal eyed.

The photos didn't show her redness, so it was a surprise when we saw her in real life.

She's quite a sui chia hamster though. Will not want to be caught if she's not ready. Something like a cat in a hamster body.

Well bred hamsters have rounder faces than what we usually see in petshops. She's naturally broad and square too.
She's docile but can be fussy. We still spoil her to bits though lol!

Yeah WWs change colour. When it's cold they turn white. If warm, they return to their agouti summer colour.

Don't torture your hamsters by making things cold though (in Malaysia it's not even guarenteed). Sometimes they change without much reason. Love your hammies as themselves, not their coat

Your hamster is so cute, she deserves a better home. I don't think I see a wheel there too.

The most basic setup is a 2 feet fish-tank, a wodent wheel and a bottle. It'll last you for a long, long time

Min's changing colour for some reason.

She used to be cinnamon with beige ears, but the edges were starting to darken into black like a normal hamster!

Not only that, he coat's changing colour too! From cinnamon it's slowly turning into golden from face first. Very subtle at first, but now her butt is so obviously lighter than the face

Her eyes are no longer deep red too, darkening into the normal black eyed hamster. It's like an ang moh baby's hair and eyes darkening with age rofles.

Is it normal?

I've been trying to capture the changes, but most of my pictures turn out blur because I have a sucky camera and she never, ever keeps still

I'm wondering, hamsters can get bored right?

I can't think of a way to amuse Min while we all go to bed. She only has a wheel and a few chewtoys. She would sometimes sit in the wheel and poke her head out, being very bored.
