there's no need for you to get another one. Most hamsters do really good alone. I'm afraid it's too late for you introduce one now. They might end up fighting. If you play with your hamster everyday they WON'T feel lonely. They can fight although they were from the same colony.

as for the cage you can get plastic tank which cost abt RM35,which is very spacious enough.

Snoopie,nice cage you have there I'm afraid it's a little too small. Extensions will make it better and fun! And i noticed there's no wheel inside. Wheel is a must.

if you want to get extension get from the same brand. It will fit. why dont you get a plastic tank cage for your hamster, It is very spacious and wayy better than the cage you're having. Plus,you can add more toys to make it interesting and fun. The cage costs around RM35. I'm sure ou can compare the size of your hammy and the cage.. There's definately not enough sapce for it to run around.
Hamsters,run A LOT. So,you better get a wheel fast. A wheel is a must in every cage..
