First of all, all of us ady advice u nicely, saying syrian are solitary but u did not take any action like buying more cage for the other 4 and keep going with ur way because u think THEY ARE DOING WELL?And then you guys started scolding ppl ! ignorance is bliss ? and Fxxk you dude? I know u guys are experienced with pets but u guys cant scold ppl for no reason . and i thought this web is for sharing experiences between one another , but i found out tat u guys like to school ppl without knowledge of the victim's background . thanks guys i appreciate tat Isn't that ignorance? How do u judge if the hamster are doing well together? Never fight? Sleep together? Sorry but that's just plain assumption of urs They do get stress, when prolong they ll fight each others or even get wet tail disease due to the stress For once i was ignorance like u, i keep them together and u can guess what happen next Im not against u but im just telling from what i can see in u Mr Iglawrence QUOTE(danny94 @ Oct 3 2009, 04:05 AM) Hey lawrence! If ur using wired cage i suggest changing to 2feet guppy tank so they wont get the chance to bite the wired cage which is very harmful for them |

Breeder celect recycle paper pallete is very absorbing and are dustless
Very good quality but of cause the price is not cheap Well at least u can use it longer before changing the bedding compare to wood shaving |

Different people suggest different method of taming their hamster
U can google how to tame a hamster for some tips but this is how i tame mine I usually just take them out and let them sit on my palm, when they walk i ll place the other palm below the other and let it walk down like a never ending stairs I did that everyday and soon they get used to me and kinda successfully tamed it i would say |

QUOTE(konbawa @ Dec 24 2009, 08:10 PM) Urgent! does anyone know how to heal a winter white hamster that have diarrhea? As quote from crazymouse in Sugar Glider threadsymtoms: -yellowish and wet bottom -slimmer -more smelly pls any one have any remedy or ways to help my hamster??? PS: pls beware of new coming hamster!! mine is affected by a new baby hamster wic is dead after raring for 5 days. and my hamster oso affected by the virus. i am giving my hamster to eat carrot more to get vitamin. it get slightly better... QUOTE reatment: Home treatment would be to provide Glucose supplement and Gatorade or a non-carbonated isotonic drink diluted with water and increase in food high in fiber. A visit to the vet is a must as diarrhea is fatal But this is for sugar glider, im not sure if it work for hamster or not On the other hand a quick google on the diarrhea lead me to this "If your hamster has diarrhoea, remove any moist food out of the cage and feed your hamster only dry bread, boiled rice and crisp bread. Replace its water with lukewarm chamomile tea three times a day, for two consecutive days. When your hamster gets better disinfect its cage well. " http://www.hamster-club.com/health.asp I'm sure u can research more info urself as im too sleepy to do it for u now Act fast or else it turns to wet tail disease |

QUOTE(Snoopie @ Dec 27 2009, 03:48 PM) I duno why my hamster both of them are fighting.. They both are call Mickey & Mouse.. Mickey is brown and Mouse is white..They both are Winter White hamsters and use to stay in the same cage.. But now Mouse look vry scared and keep on squeaking whenever i put Mickey together.. They keep fighting and bite each other.. I duno is this the reason? If they are fighting it simply mean they cannot get alongB4 christmas, i was working.. so i cant accompany my gf den i suggest to borrow 1 of my hamster to her for 2days.. Is Mickey.. B4 i pass it to her, i changed new bedding and put lots of water and foods for him these 2days.. My gf den change the bedding again using hers Living Worlds Pine Wood shaving bedding (im using Chipsi Classic).. when she was having it for 2days cause she say vry smelly.. I guess nothing wrong rite? I observed Mouse this past 2days, he seem vry lonely and nvr moves much.. I guess he misses Mickey.. So yesterday i went back to take Mickey from my gf, den i put together again and they started fighting.. Mickey keep on chasing Mouse and Mouse keep on squeak.. I try changing the bedding and put them together back, end up still the same.. What happen to them? Feel so sad right now.. They last time use to be best friends, but now keep fighting with one another.. Anyone can help me with this? In fact aside from roborovski, other hamster species should never be put together imo Some ppl have luck housing winter white together but that does not happen to everyone's Aside from that, living world PINE bedding is very bad for ur hamster, do read 1st page, it's stated there Use either Chipsi Classic only or best, breeder celect (Recycled paper) Plus, saying that a hamster is lonely is pure nonsense, winter white hamster are not social species which mean they enjoy being solitary much more than being with other hamster The fact that they are fighting is the best evidence I would suggest u stop attempting to put them together and accept the fact that they cant live together Also, they used2 stay together last time i assume that's because they are still young at that time and their territorial instinct are not fully developed yet My 2cent This post has been edited by RyoKenzaki: Dec 27 2009, 04:50 PM |
