QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jul 20 2010, 12:11 PM) from 1st of July onwards, you cannot pledge ASB certificate to any banks to apply OD under individual name. It can only be done under sole proprietorship's name. For OD/ASW, totally banned, as started from 1st July, ASW cannot be converted to certificate form already, only in passbook form. |

Any reason they are doing this ? They expect the return of PNB funds can no longer cover the interest charged from banks in the future ? |

So now OD only open to businessman, PNB think those can manage their sole prop biz can manage the OD line. But Term Loan for ASB still running.OD against ASW stopped already as many manupulate using the OD facility to reinvest, PNB want the investor to invest from ther own money, i guess |

Ive considering to withdraw quite a sum from ASN1. Any recommendation to where i should put it into? Im not sure which one will give slightly higher returns, ASW,ASM, AS1M, or ASG or perhaps ASB...this investment i wan it to act like a bank, where probably after 1 year i will wan to withdraw some of it. I dont think ASN2, and 3 would be in my choice cos the price is currently too high. im son of soil btw =.=

When you have reached the maximum which is RM200k, you can then put your money in ASW2020 or ASD. |

QUOTE(Savor_Savvy @ Jul 25 2010, 05:53 PM) Where can i sell my asm? Go to any bank or must go to asnb or anywhere? Maybank, CIMB Bank, RHB Bank, Pos Office and ASNB office. You can withdraw a maximum of RM25,000 cash at Maybank and RM10,000 at Pos Office/ASNB office. CIMB Bank sometimes impose a limit too but they always change it from time to time. If you are going to withdraw more than RM25,000 of cash, just go to RHB Bank. |

But if lets say i kept it for 10 years( which is the max bonus received), but suddenly need money and withdraw like few thousands, will it affect the bonus drastically? If yes, how much so? |

If yes, how much so? The 200K is the amount invested. It doesnt include the interest earned. So u can keep it forever and the amound can reach even 400-500K. The interest is calculated on the balance available. So if u withdraw then the interest you get will be lesser. |
