I have the following queries regarding ASB (Amanah Saham Bumiputera)

1) What documents are required for withdrawal of funds
2) Where can we withdraw?
3) What is the maximum withdrawal amount?
4) Is the amount given in cash or deposited into your savings account?

Thanks

1) What documents are required for withdrawal of funds

Your passbook or certificate, MyKad and your thumb.

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Jul 1 2010, 10:53 AM)
2) Where can we withdraw?

ASNB Office, Post Office, Maybank, CIMB Bank and RHB Bank.

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Jul 1 2010, 10:53 AM)
3) What is the maximum withdrawal amount?
**cash only

PNB Office/Post Office
- **RM10,000/day

Maybank
- **RM25,000/day

CIMB Bank
- **RM50,000/day

RHB Bank
- **no limit

There is no limit imposed at Maybank and CIMB Bank if you choose to withdraw the money using Banker's Cheque, deposit into your bank account held with them or transfer to another bank's account through IBG.

They will do it as per your instruction. You can :
- withdraw all in cash
- deposit into your account held with the bank
- transfer the money into other bank account through IBG (RM2)
- ask the bank to issue you a banker's cheque

Your name.

Anyway, do you have an account either at Maybank, CIMB Bank or RHB Bank ? If you do, just deposit the money into your account and ask them to transfer the money from there. It is so much more convenient.

Oh ... i thought you're a Bumi ... Anyway, it is one in a million chance that you'll get the ASM now. I'd say try again when they decide to allocate more funds to ASM.

Judging from your username, i suppose you're a Malay ? Then you should max out your ASB first which is RM200k. After that, you can look into ASW2020 and ASD.

ASB provides the BEST returns among all the bonds in ASNB. Its returns are usually around 9% per annum. Max out your investment in ASB before u contemplate any other bonds / investments.
