Yes,any achievement using someone else games saves will not save to your psnid.Some game like resident evil cannot transfer save to other ps3.

yeah i know, but you know some of those free discs have both movies and games on a single BD, right? just checking, before i blow RM40 on a region-locked disc like the last time i bought the official X360 magazine for their disc.

1st of all, i'm new in the forum. So, I don't know where should I post this topic.

I just bought my PS3 and an HD LCD. It's viewsonic brand, VX2433. I bought the HDMI to HDMI cable. But when i turn on the PS3, the screen doesn't show anything. Just blank. So, i connect my PS3 wif the AV cable to the normal tv, and there's the menu. Then, I connect the HDMI cable to the LCD, and the AV cable to the normal tv. At the display oustput setting, i chose HDMI. Then both of the screen is blank. what should I do? T.T help plzzz

try press and hold the ON button on the console for 5 sec (while the ps3 in stand-by mode)
