Just to update. I had my nose operated by Dr Khor last week due to my deviated septum. The surgery took about 2 hours (starting from my sleep until I woke up). I feel I can breathe better once I was conscious.

Now I need to faced by bloody nose as I need to keep on blowing my nose from time to time to avoid blood clot. But it's getting lesser as I keep applying the oil drops every 3 hours.

Will update again my condition in a few weeks time.

Everything went well? How much it cost you?

My nose is like normal now. But I still dont dare to dig my nose as deeply as last time.

The total surgery costs is ~RM5000. Total post-surgery treatment is ~RM1000 (4 times visit to Dr. Khor clinic).

Hi all, just to sharing with you guys.. I have just done my surgery for sinus, septoplasmy and septum deviation... Total damage was about RM9.7K. But now after 1 week, my nose still blocking a side.. (Sometime left sometime right). Would like to know is this normal? Dr.Khor asked me to drop some warm (plus little salt) water into it.

Wow, high costs, who performed the surgery on you? It should be fine after two weeks. Warm water with salt will soften the harden mucus that's build up in ur nose. Done that before

there is a Ear specialist at penang,at batu lanchang. i have been there once because near my ear canal grow something that nearly close my ear canal.and he gave me antibiotics n also reduce swollen medicine. after finish up the antibiotics, the things in my ear gets smaller.it took roughly 1 week to recover, cost of medication n medicine is rm38.

incident 2

both of my ear was stuck with ear wax and it affect my hearing. at first my mum brought me to her company clinic, and the doctor said the ear wax already become as hard as a rock, and he gave the medicine which can breaks the ear wax into small pieces n it will fall off eventually. but when i apply that medicine, my ear bleeds n i feel very painful, the next day my mum decided to bring me to ENT specialist after asking her company doctor for referal letter, she then bring me to island hospital. and the treatment and medicine fees is rm700++ for both ears including hearing test. insurance cannot claim 100%

choose wisely.

well you had three operations, so i have no idea how much each costs. I had my sinus removed by him which costs ard 2K and had a broken nose fixed by him as well. Never been better after following his advise to cut my sinus and it has been more than 10 years

it took like 2-3 weeks to be completely free from any blockage after my sinus operation. No need to worry cuz i'm sure he can help you. Been going to him for more than 10 years d.

Thanks for the advise. Hopefully will recover from the blockage as it's really irritating when I can't breath through two nostrils. Maybe I still having some blood clot inside my nose. Tomorrow will seek for his advise see whether it is normal or anything I can do to feel better. Thanks for sharing again.

It's normal. After I done my septoplasty, my nose often get blocked. The reason being blocked is because the blood and mucous are dried up. Dr Khor said it's normal and he recommended me to apply the oil drops into my nose every 4 hrs and blow out my nose (not blow too hard) frequently.

For post surgery follow-up, I was required to see him every week. During each visit, he will insert a small hose from a machine to suck out all the mucous and dried blood from the nose. YOu will get some nasal spray (salt water) to ease the congestion.

Don't worry, things will get back to normal in 3-4 weeks gradually.

Something to share in here, i was coughing non stop for month, especially at night, been trying every single method, chinese herbs powder, cough syrup etc, was quite ok after initial treatment but only for 1 or 2 days, it comes back and getting worst until my chest pain

I found this forum and decided to make a trip to visit Dr Koay CE at Sunway Hospital, know what?! 3 days, it only take 3 days and my cought is totally cured by medication and physiotherapy method

Dr Koay CE was so patience and give explanation on why my body react such a way, i was enlightened!

There are two Dr Koay in Sunway, both are ENT, Dr Koay Cheng Eng (Dr Koay CE) was the one treated me. He was from Gleneagles previously, the price was reasonable.

2nd visit tomorrow for follow-up.
