I stayed for 2 nights. I did the 2nd surgery because of scar tissues. I was on anesthetic for an hour too. My nose was not as painful as the 1st but I vomited out all clotted blood when awake. Terrible taste. It is the same as the 1st surgery when awake I feel like vomiting but I managed to control for the 1st.

Now sharing my experience here:

After visit to dr khor in pudu, everything is clear. He straight away treat the cause n not the symptoms. No painkillers were given hut just antibiotic, anti inflamation, n some drops n relaxing pill for stress. It's true he's weird in some way but heck who cares if he's good? Some complain his nurses are fierce, well i guess because their boss, dr khor will grill them kaw kaw if they didn do their work properly i.e taking wrong info like what u r allergic to etc.

Will doing my surgery next month. Hope once n for all i can bye bye my headache forever.

Visited both Dr Koay Cheng Eng and Dr Paul Lim in Sunway Medical Centre. Been experiencing vertigo for almost two weeks. Went to Dr Koay at first, he's nice and willing to explain the reason of my inequilibrium. Went back second time too see Dr Koay as my inequilibrium seems to be getting worst ( no Meds given ) but unfortunately couldn't see him that day, so went for Dr Paul Lim. Currently under medication to treat my vertigo. For those who want a nice and friendly doctor who is willing to talk about your condition, I recommend both doctors. Overall, had a good experience with both ENTs.

I just made an enquiry with a ENT specialist for a visit, and was quoted (almost) RM 400 for flexible endoscopy.

Wanna check with you guys, is that fee normal?

Which specialist? Actually the fee depends what did you check on. If you checked your throat, nose and ear then it will be expensive. Else if only nose then not that much maybe about RM 150. But if you go for radiology then it will be at least RM400.

Hi Cedriccheah,
I am having the same problem as you since CNY, coughing and taking lots of cough medicine and antibiotics but still the same.
After that decided to see Dr Gan in Mac 2013 to check on my throat but he check my nose for sinus problem.
He suggest that I go for FESS surgery. I agree to go for it because I thought it will solve my problem fast.

After for a month after the FESS surgery,I have the same problem back again and he suggested a revised surgery to rectify the
problem caused by scarred tissue. He said this surgery will definitely rectify my problem.
After the 2nd surgery, I feel better then the 1st because my ear is not block and my cough is better until now.
But mucus still flow down my throat and have to blow my nose quite often to clear it. Went back to see him again and he suggested
Balloon sinuplasty surgery. After reading what you have gone through and not getting well, I decided not to go for it.
It's about a month after the 2nd surgery, I still goes back weekly to clear mucus in my nose.
I am still hoping time will cure my throat and mucus will stop flowing then I will be well again.

How are you getting on since Dec 2012 until now? Hope you can give me some advise for my next step. Tq

Hi mandyhoho99 & LTSAudrey,

Sorry that I rarely logged in recently..LOL
I still having coughing when I ate too much which related to my stomach problem.
Other than that, nasal part is a lot better.

Hi Cedriccheah, I have been waiting for your reply since a month ago. At last, happy to hear from you but not happy to hear that you still have the cough.
Thanks for sharing about your experiences. Me too similar as your case. I went to Dr Megat too and he gave me controloc tablets which i am still taking it.
Thanks for introducing Dr Megat, he is a very nice, patient, detail and friendly doctor. Actually I don't eat much and do not have acid reflux, but he said i have a very slight of it which I am not aware. He said my nasal looks good because of the FESS surgery, but I have something below my throat was caused by acid reflux. Now when I took controloc tablets most of the time i don't cough but my voice still like having a cold. I think I need to see him next week.

If still not fix, you can ask him to introduce you to Dr Jurina. She is awesome.
I think sometimes this month I will need to pay her a visit for checkup if my acid reflux getting bad tongue.gif
But i'm overweight which she will repeat again if I see her...LOL

Yes, I took controloc too. if continuing take that, it should solve my problem
But I try to minimize myself to rely on it.

Thanks, I will see him first and see how it goes. Now I am trying without taking controloc, seems no more cough but still have flame in my throat.

As someone mentioned in a post above during 2012, a good ENT specialist is Dr Chang Chew Ming in Pantai Hospital . He goes to Assunta as well.
He is not only good but I'd say great.
