Can U install an internal HDD in the Asus or not? If can, then I will admit it is in the same league.

The last time i heard, most prefer not to put a HD in the ryan to avoid overheating.

If you are smart, you could have ask does the ryan got e-sata to be on the same leaque as the O!play?

i place me HDD inside the POHD...& i checked..the heat is transfered to top of the enclosure..the bottom, where the HDD is mounted, is relatively cool...not hot..

so i think as long as you didnt tapau the POHD in a tight spot, heat shudnt be an issue...

eSATA now..before you know if, USB3.0 will be released...

I have so far not found any problem with overheating with my ACRPOHD, and mine is installed with a 1.5TB Samsung hdd. For me, the only thing still missing is the ability to handle BD-ISO files.

Btw (OT, sorry), is it possible to convert BD-ISO files (already ripped from BDs into the hdd) to mkv files? I can't find it in makemkv.

Can you stream 1080P without judder with Wifi? Somethings are more for gimmick than real use.

I have another question on the ACR player: Will it be possible to connect up a BDROM drive and play BluRay disks directly?

The Asus has 10/100mbit LAN. WiFi N is 300mbit. If my math is not wrong, 300 is faster than 100.

Anyways I don't want to argue with U lah...as long as U are happy. cool2.gif

100Mbps = 100/8 = 12.5MBPS

1000Mbps = 1000/8 = 125MBPS

300Mbits = 27.5MBPS

something like this

get it?
