Bro chewkl, I am also interested in this. Appreciate if you can advise your ordering method. I don't think they sell it here in MYS or Penang right?

Hi all, I noticed some ppl mentioned possibility of lag during playback for movies with 1080 output, 720 no problem on their WDTV.
This PlayOn got this issue? Anyone can comment? |

i was just wondering since I had my eyes on this item too.
I do not see many ppl installing the internal HDD, and rather get the external one. Any reason why? |

My friend just bought a POHD and tried to upgrade the firmware today. However, after upgrading and boot up, the TV (Full HD LCD) displays "Not compatible with this signal".
Anybody have any idea how this happened? or what is the problem? |

QUOTE(daryl.k @ Sep 28 2009, 11:05 PM) so what exactly was the problem? Mind to breakdown the solutions?it may be useful for others in future if they face same problem He had to press "TV SYS" button on the remote a couple of times until the problem disappeared, and the player boot up as normal again. Scared the hell out of him. It was an issue which some of the POHD users (very few I believe) had also experience per the official AC Ryan forum below.i just got my chance to test out my POHD very impressive with it...was using WDTV earlier & i feel its well worth the upgrade... Loading time on my 1TB hdd was so much faster altho with the WDTV i was using ext hdd..i think not fair to compare but being able to store hdd internally is one huge advantage on the POHD the HDMI cable tat came with the package is a lot 'smaller' in cable size compare to Monster M1000HD..havent tried swaping & try so dunno if it'll make any difference re the heat issue i was worried about earlier...suprisingly its a lot hotter on the top of the casing than the bottom..guess its well constructed to pass heat thru the body of the unit rather than heat concentrating at bottom where the hdd is mounted...guess no need to elevate it overall extremely happy with it! http://www.acryan.com/forums/viewtopic.php...t=1674&start=40 Funny thing is coincidently they were using Sharp LCD, and my friend also uses this LCD. Was wondering that could it be a handshaking issue with this particular brand? But again, it was resolved thankfully. |
