QUOTE(ssyam @ Dec 10 2009, 09:27 AM) dont disappointed coz YAMJ (Yet Another Movie Juxebox) that soon will be implemented in POHD new firmware Ooooo I've been hoping for this!1 YAMJ Yamj 2 I can't stand the UI for POHD but it's the most tolerable one apart from WDTV. Unfortunately, WDTV stutters with certain files...or so I've read. Hopefully the YAMJ firmware won't mess up the functions...AC Ryan has a knack for doing that |

I would guess as soon as Realtek settles the licensing issues with Dolby and DTS. The feature is there to be enabled but they still need the green light from Realtek first.
I fear it might not even materialise. Hope I am wrong. |

The feature is there to be enabled but they still need the green light from Realtek first. First we want to know is ... have bitstream do not mean have TrueHD / DTS-HDMA,I fear it might not even materialise. Hope I am wrong. because Dolby lab and DTS company are no longer authorized license to any HD player anymore, need manufacturers using their own crack, but not every manufacturers have the technical ability to crack it. even if they want to crack is not easy to do that. Like the previous Sigma 8635 have cracked a long time, probably more than a year. Some using 1073/128X manufacturers always say that bitstream TrueHD / DTS-HDMA firmware is ready, need to wait for approval of licenses to enabled,In fact they still facing the problem to crack,at the moment only can pass-through dts 5.1 core only. New version of Sigma 8635 has a new locked, who needs a bitstream TrueHD / DTS-HDMA, and hurry to buy, otherwise would have to wait for new crack...So far only SIGMA 863X/864X can bitstream TrueHD / DTS-HDMA,if Realtek 1073/128X have to wait, but still do not know when will have to wait until... play BDISO fuction with full BD menu, only for flash memory have at lease 384mb or above and can pop-Up original blu-ray menu, most of the Sigma 8635 and Realtek 1073/128X player in the market are only have 256mb,so if some new firmware support BDISO update only can pop-up BDlite menu. if really need to play BDISO with full menu,go for Sigma 864X player, can play BDISO without lag. |

The new Xtreamer V2 (Realtek 1283).. tested can support TrueHD downmix. Realtek new sdk only support BDlite. because RAM only 128mb ddr2.. cannot increase. |

If so why don't Realtek just provide the 'crack' ? because Dolby lab and DTS company are no longer authorized license to any HD player anymore, need manufacturers using their own crack, but not every manufacturers have the technical ability to crack it. even if they want to crack is not easy to do that. That's just my layman question because I want to know more about the issue too This post has been edited by Ngto: Dec 13 2009, 10:37 AM |
