Which release was it, 1080p or 720p? WiKi, METiS or CHD, etc?

Surprisingly 1080p Wiki seems to be OK for T4

Sometimes, with other players, the jerky, shuttering and pixellation is so bad...the player just hangs or crash.
Anyway, I'm going to my friend place to check out the ACRyan..will be bringing a long a few hard to play stuff as well.
Hope its OK...cos' this player is my only option to get. icon_rolleyes.gif

This is not so good news. Look as if this Playeron!HD not so ong?
hmm.gif My LCD samsung with built-in media player can play T4, 5th Element and many other 1080p version without being a jerk.

Hey azbro, I await your results anxiously cos I also thinking of this player for my Plasma. Hope your test includes T4 and 5th Element 1080p version.

yes...thats probably it...maybe the 300MB provides the buffer or something like it...trouble is, need to buy a new hardisk to format it with PoHD.

Will formatting using PoHD erase all the files in the HDD?....or is it something like a surface format like converting FAT32 to NTFS without deleting the contents?

err..not confirmed yet cause friend maybe going outstation during that day. doh.gif

I think T4 and Fifth element no problem...only thing must try ROTF 1080p WIKI, EuReKA (18.1 Mbps) or Epik (16 Mbps)
That one if can play means its good enough

The internal HD formatted with hidden partitions by AC Ryan POHD will provide the buffers needed for all other HD playback. So just need to format once using POHD (the internal one) and no need to do the same for external HD.

The built in player from Samsung cannot decode DTS ler... so all movies will have to convert to AC3 if I am not mistaken, hence I did not use it. I did try to play Fifth Element once. Not bad.

Should be the LA40B650T1R...dun play play...can play from Hardrive and optional Wireless also bro...the DTS thing need to wait for future models...

Samsung did this well...only need to improve in the DTS and external Digital Audio output.

It will erase everything. One solution is format a new HD with POHD and then copy all the movies from the old HD to the new HD. Then use the old HD as external USB for extra storage.

but I have no issues with my realtek 1073 player via sata connection using NTFS 1.5TB HDD (but not partitioned or formatted by the realtek chip)..even with 43GB BD ISOs..

need to buffer or else dun play smoothly so don't think it's a good excuse for acryan if it jerks during playback..... of course unless the file is coded with a non standard parameter or weird codec..
