That's the issue now. My brother bought the unibody Macbook which was aluminium, and then a few months after, they released the Macbook with white body, and bumped the rest to Macbook Pro.
That's why I want to know when the next update is. Cause the moment it gets updated, I'm not going to hesitate, and straight going to buy it. I just need to know when will it be.

Look at all my stars!!

Both the MBP and the Mac Pro are due for a refresh already. My guess is that the MBP will be at the same time as the iPad.

if i were you, i juz buy n get the free ipod touch anyway no 'experts' would know when the next batch is coming. even resellers dont know. all of us are just waiting for apple's announcement. simple as that. but then if u want an iMac, they already have i5 and i7 models, so go buy now!

QUOTE(wei @ Mar 29 2010, 07:53 PM) Don't forget 4GB stick is ain't cheap. But it's cheaper already, used to be RM1k+ well yeah, if I’m convinced that if 8gb ram performance is much better than 4gb, with the right price, would sell it off but it seems like on snow leopard, even on this machine, i didn't really feel as if i'm on a high end machine, at certain point, running more than 2 - 3 programs, it'll start to be sluggish already

I don't think it will be around iPad's launch, and they do not certainly want to mess up the sales. I reckon it would be months later after iPad's launch.

wah? what apps are u running? try check Activity Monitor see what's the culprit
the only thing i realise after moving to 4gb from 2gb is performance when running VM. when i'm not, everything feels the same

I reckon it would be months later after iPad's launch. i second this opinion. it will proly b months later. but then again, no one knows exactly when, everyone is just waiting. if you really crave for a new mac, get yours now. if you can hang one to your current laptop, just set a time, if until that time, the new line still aint released, just make your purchase den. cos it will b no point keep waiting.

Its facebook compressing the picture to be uploaded unto its servers. which is why almost all pics on facebook appear on a standard size.
Nothing can be done atm unless facebook allows users to upload photos with user preferences.

Facebook can only handle pictures up to 4MB, and then they will resize it automatically.

Guys, I walked in to the Apple store again today... the guy laughed at me cause i walked in 4-5 times and never buy anything... but today i did it... finally got myself an iMac! first time Mac user, so i will be in these sections more often for advice... got the lowest imac, but to be honest, apart from the integrated graphics, its good enough for me... i am so far loving it, altho it has only been 15 minutes of usage...
