Continuation from version 2 here: [url=http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/873560[/url]

This is the 4th Version of the MacBook Pro/MacBook Thread. I hope you macbook users can get along and share the joy of your MacBook. Oh yes , did I say that it comes with new rules. I hope you guys can obey the rules

Basic Rules for This Thread

1. DO NOT SPAM
When I say do not spam. It means do not post useless '1 sen' posts such as 'Apple s**** , too expensive .. without being constructive. You can say Apple Sucks but please do provide your reason. For example

CODE
I think MacBook Pro is overpriced. This is because I could get a laptop with a similar specification for half the price. On top of that , there are some heat-releated issues that Apple should solve with their MacBook Pro series. Overall for me , I don't think its worth it. Its just my thought

2. BE POLITE

Please respect other members here and don't just start to flame. We should be thankful that the Administrators for giving this marvellous place

I hope you enjoy your new MacBook Pro/MacBook Thread

I'll add some useful application and list of URLs later for you all

sori newbie here...the purpose of the reg is meant for international warranty??
*
Not exactly. its just to make it a lot easier for you when it comes to any sort of warranty related issues. ie. you can just bring in your machine to an authorized service center, without the need to show any purchase receipts, etc, as they can just look up your serial number.

Both the MBP and the Mac Pro are due for a refresh already. My guess is that the MBP will be at the same time as the iPad.

As of right now, seems that the Apple Store is being updated smile.gif

Although I know my dreams of a dual Nehalem powered MBP is still kinda like wishful thinking tongue.gif

So fast? I thought we would need to wait for a few weeks , if not months For the new products to reach malaysia. Correct me if i'm wrong.
*
The last time I placed an order with a reseller 3 days after a refresh, it took about 5 weeks. Stock actually started arriving earlier, just that it took them 5 weeks to fulfill my order due to the number of ppl making the booking. This' pretty normal every time there's a product refresh, where there'll be a worldwide shortage for up to the first 2 months.

You might get better response time from the online store though, but can't really comment on this.

So, weeks perhaps, but it had never been months.

nobody is going to buy the macbook white 13 inch at RM3599. does that mean apple is facing out the macbook white as well? interesting development
*
either that or a refresh for the white is coming soon and they're gonna drop the price even more

thanks.. anyone feels the diff from 1,440-by-900-pixel to high-resolution, 1,680-by-1,050? is it worth RM294 eh?  hmm.gif
*
That depends actually. I'm now on a 13' MBP temporarily and the only times that I feel the constraint is when I'm working on something that requires high resolution.

One thing for me that'll come in very useful on a high res screen though, is that I can use Interface Builder for doing up iPad application screens without having to scroll up and down too much smile.gif

Originally I had been pondering on the 17' screen 'cause of this, but looks like I can do with just the 15' with the upgraded display.
