QUOTE(M@Y @ Dec 5 2009, 04:37 PM) Guys, i want to hear out your opinion. My current White Macbook is with Intel GMA 950, bought for RM4000 at Mac Studio few years ago, and i've been considering to trade-in and get the latest version with NVIDIA GeForce 9400M at Mac City for RM3,599 or buy online with Education price for RM3,399. Is it worth it to change just because of the graphic? Please advise. nope, just keep it.

QUOTE(rheza02 @ Dec 5 2009, 01:11 PM) i just got back my MBP after topcase and speaker replaced for free cool! QUOTE(M@Y @ Dec 5 2009, 03:37 PM) Guys, i want to hear out your opinion. Is it worth it to change just because of the graphic? Please advise. if juz because of the graphic...i think no. the GMA950 is absolutely useless for intensive 3d, n while the 9400M is much better, its kinda borderline usable. i.e. u can play games on it in minimum quality but sometimes still lag. u probably wont notice the difference. however i think its a worthwhile upgrade as a whole. the screen is much better, also the battery lasts longer (if u havent replace ur battery, i think u cant get more than 2 hours from ur macbook am i right?).

Thanks for the opinions though If you're so/too desperate, just go for it. Well, if you ONLY talk about graphic, there are a lil bit changes but 9400 is really not powerful enough. Even 9600 is quite outclassed today. So i don't really encourage you to do the change. But for others like hardware and accesories, There are quite many major changes from the previous mb to the latest. ie, trackpad, lcd monitor, battery life, magsafe etc. It is actually a very good choice for you to trade in the old and get the latest one. And the last, its all up to you cause you're the one who pay for it =)

Hi, someone broke into my house yesterday and my laptop was gone. I was using a Benq S41 recently, so I've decided to change to apple since I've never used an apple computer before. I'm deciding whether to either get the new Macbook White or the 13" Macbook pro. Is there any difference between 2 of these? Or should I just wait for the next update for Macbook/Macbook Pro. Any can anyone tell me when is the next upgrade? I mean not the exact date, but roughly when will the update be. Thanks

Nobody in this forum honestly know when the updates will be out, if we knew there wouldnt be a lot of people complaining about " owh @#$% apple, they release a new mbp or macbook again", even if the macbook or MBP they own is a few months or years old, if you are not the type whom minds the latest and greatest, just purchase whatever that suits you best, no point to keep waiting and waiting, because theres always be something better, thats how technology is, just my 2 cents.

@sumtuckieeeee Felt sorry for your case...my house kena break in last yr...all my gadget gone... Well..the waiting game is not too nice to "play" I have the same scenario as u. Waited and waited...when then first Alu MBP came out (RM7299), i was very impressed and cant wait to get it..(off course some typical M'sia mindset to hunt for the best deal in town). Month by month still the same promo with ACCP purchase only entitle with 4GB ram upgrade... Till MBP releases 13.3" where i think no point of waiting, the trend of cycle of promo is the same...(waited for approx 10 months, guess some guys know how patient and stubborn i was haha) so grab the 2nd gen Alu and Im a happy Mac User now! no regrets. "no point to keep waiting and waiting, because theres always be something better, thats how technology is" This is true nimrod323 no point of waiting
