guys wonder this question has been raised b4..

when u switch off the laptop...
u gently touch the Alu case, can u feel vibration on it, like something charging or the hardware is spinning ....

Tried unplug my USB cablea and the vibration stop.....is this normal? do u guys leave the usb cable/ firewire on the mac

Another thing is ....is it harmful that leaving the charging cradle charge your laptop all day long? or u guys just unplug when u switch off the mac

Thanks

I don't know if it's vibration or what, but I think I know what you mean.

When the power cable is on and I touch the aluminum surface, it doesn't feel smooth. Can feel the "vibration"

But when I unplug the power cable and touch the surface, it feels smooth...

The feel when touching the aluminum surface is different when the power cable is plugged in or unplug..

Yup Dude Bingo! thats y im trying to explained.. smile.gif
i think this is cause by power adapter that charged the MBP although I have switch off my machines.

If i unplug the power adapter the slight "vibration" will stop....even my external hdd under firewire...

Grounding issue is not a problem at all. Coz i dont feel any static shock at all...im using Belkin Surge Master biggrin.gif

P/S: Do u guys unplug the power adapter after u switch off the laptop?

ohh regarding the iSight...is there any "adjustment" like logitech Webbie to adjust the saturation/ contrast/ ambiance/ lighting those kind of settings....my frens kept on saying too blur at my side where i had switch on my room lights...

another hand, im not sure am i too overreact, all my slot on the left are fully occupied where i can feel that the left panel is slightly hotter (More towards to Power Adapter) than other portion.

Is this normal?

Thanks in advanced!

i have this toughs of getting a book for MAC OS X to speed up the learning process.

Well Mag for Max is pretty exp tough. I find more useful by searching Apple.com and google around..

but i just wondering where's the "backspace" for Mac? There's only "delete" button allocated at the right panel. hmm,..

hey guys i have a question here regarding Airport...

Do u get disconnection often or slow connection after awhile?

My scenario is:

Using linksys wireless N modem... starting the connection speed is fast...when idle too long (overnight/restart) my Airport will not connect the router automatically...where i need to manually insert password and the most of the time the message from Airport shown " invalid password"

I tried keying the same password and out of 4/10 times only manage to get the wireless up but the speed is slow....

However, i try to figure it out could it be router settings...but it seems everything is straight forward for the router...disable Mac Filter/ WPA password.....nothing else already....

Pls enlighten me if i need to tweak the Network utilities? Internet speed is not a prob ( i have another PC connected with LAN with the same router =new router= where my speed is good)

Ping wireless 80% packet loss.....

@sumtuckieeeee

Felt sorry for your case...my house kena break in last yr...all my gadget gone...sad.gif
Well..the waiting game is not too nice to "play"

I have the same scenario as u. Waited and waited...when then first Alu MBP came out (RM7299), i was very impressed and cant wait to get it..(off course some typical M'sia mindset to hunt for the best deal in town). Month by month still the same promo with ACCP purchase only entitle with 4GB ram upgrade...

Till MBP releases 13.3" where i think no point of waiting, the trend of cycle of promo is the same...(waited for approx 10 months, guess some guys know how patient and stubborn i was haha) so grab the 2nd gen Alu and Im a happy Mac User now! no regrets.

"no point to keep waiting and waiting, because theres always be something better, thats how technology is"

This is true nimrod323 biggrin.gif no point of waiting

Hey, thanks for the reply, I've read a lot of reviews on the Macbook and Macbook Pro 13". Some are good reviews while some are not so much, but overall, both are good laptops. I'm planning to get mine from Machines at JB because I'm studying there. And I think I wanna get a Macbook Pro 13" biggrin.gif

Though there are some reports that made me skeptical though. Some say that the WiFi signal on the MBP is not that good because of the metal chassis. And it tends to get really hot.
*
Regarding the Wifi signal...is okie it wont raise the temp too high..mine average 47~56 degrees only. Previous issue i had was dropping wireless signal. But is solved by tweaking the router. So no worries grab the MBP u wont regret thumbup.gif

Hey guys i have this prob just now.

I bought an Original DVD to play CD1 on my MBP No.1 (same spec)
- It started to make funny noises and unable to run (CD2 okie). End up it automatically pop out

Then i transfer to disk to my MBP No.2 (same spec)
- It able to load both disk. Just prompt the region settings to 1,2,3,4,5,....

I was wondering is the MBP no.1 having problem? Too sensitive DVD-RW?
Am i able to get 1 to 1 exchange for the DVD-RW issue and how does it take to get a replacement?

ps: wired though MBP no2 able to run, MBP no1 cant... hmm.gif

Mind to share some experience?

Thanks

i was totally sad for my own good after the new released of refresh MBP.
1st Alu was price at: RM7199 Base Model
2nd Alu was price at: RM4799 Base Model
3rd Alu which is the newest model price at: RM3899

From the trend, the price is getting much cheaper which makes the MBP no more premium anymore...Im thinking what Apple Marketing is doing..

Well, from the spec which is still affordable for a grab.

Reply above is just my opinion no offense to anyone that wish to buy. Is worth it with that price tag.
