hi guys......

just bought this laptop yesterday rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif
but when i installed cs 1.6 error occur... shocking.gif shocking.gif
it say
'the specified video mode is not supported. the game will now run in software mode'

can anyone help me with this??

i've tried to change the video setting to openGL but the same popup appears...

what resolution did you try to play it? remember our LCD can only support upto 768 height. so, the best reso is 1024x768. did the game have widescreen support?

i've changed to 1024x768 reso but the problem still appears...
how 2 know the game have widescreen support or not?

at run command, type dxdiag. it will display your dx version.

maybe the game needs direct x 9. doesnt mean u hv direct x 11 u hv direct x 9. try to install direct x 9.

I can run COD4 n NFS Shift smoothly in this lappy. So how hard can it be to run your CS 1.6.
Please check all your laptop driver is properly installed or not. All issues begins there.

basically just go to the asus support website and download all the drivers for ur lappy.. with respective OS...

the Graphics driver i'd recommend u to download from the AMD website and mod it with the mobility modder.. basically.. the asus CD provided doesnt not have complete updated Drivers

why my asus k40ab having problem with "blue screen" problems...
when i surf internet for long terms (dalam 2/3 jam)....
it will freeze for about 3/4 second and restart...

can someone tell me how to fix this???

maybe it will be a much more help if you can post the pics for your problem..i guess maybe your laptop got overheated,that's why its shutdown..are you surfing on your bed?? your laptop have plenty space to breathe??

well, for Vista BSOD is usually driver related... try update the driver first...
