Just curious, how's the performance on this baby with Shift? My 9800m GT and the 9600m GT were both pretty much on par in Undercover, but in Shift the 9600 is getting smoked. Just curious if it's just the 9600 or if the Shift is a much more streamlined piece of code.

9600 and 9800 is a mid-high end card. this card is placed on lower middle series. so need me to tell you what the verdict?

Added on October 14, 2009, 1:45 am9600 got what? 64 sp right?

our card have 80(that is 16x5dimentional)sp.

9600M got 32 stream processor & 128-bit memory, while 9800M got 96 & 256-bit respectively. Compare that to 80 (16x5) with 64-bit memory. This laptop is entry level, I thought someone with Elite tag on Mobile Computing and Hardware would be at least knowledgeable in this, no offence, so the performance difference should be obvious

I'm all ready for V2, I'll lock this thread myself once it reach 2500 post. The only reason I keep it going is because to let all the spammer do their thing so the V2 will be cleaner

And please john_jay2, don't post anything not related here. Those are considered useless post that not related to this thread

On a side note, I found that the new MSI Afterburner software can monitor temperature, it based on RivaTuner. Although it can detect temperature, it can't overclock it but that is AMD GPU clock tool duty biggrin.gif

Dear Najmods, please consider to add AMD Fusion Utility for Mobility in the next V2. There is nothing wrong with the current FUSION but the Fusion Mobility have more preset settings to choose from for laptop user.

Included screen shot for reference. icon_rolleyes.gif
