If Nokia didn't release something new, people say "Nokia fell behind from Samsung, SE, iPhone, HTC, and ETC". Every brand will release their new product, but depend on their marketing strategy.

its not just 256mb ram, still got added 700mb+ virtual ram, totalling 1 GB.
but 600mhz quite outdated, the new samsung jet has an 800mhz processor.

do any of u use mirror screen protector? does it blur your screen like the anti fingerprint?

Bout games and app support
Maemo 5 is actually based on debian...so a lot of existing linux app can be easily ported over into Maemo...
not to mention Maemo 5 also compatible with ubuntu ARM version...it means thousands of ubuntu ARM ver compatible with the platform although some may need some tweaking...n if im not mistaken u can use abiword (free word processor) that designed to be used on a desktop comp on it...

for maemo 5 specific apps there will be a site called Maemo Select (a la OVI store website i suppose icon_rolleyes.gif )...in fact earlier maemo apps can be found at maemo.org if im not mistaken....u can also search apps via the device app manager+ repo (think of tis like the Apple Appstore or Nokia OVI Store client)...

Maemo 5 itself is a full fledged linux platform hence quoting the nokia phrase "Its what computers have become" rclxms.gif

N900 looks awesome! it totally rocks my socks off !

it supports divX / Xvid yaw.

Damn, I guess I gotta to stick with n97 1st, i'll be leaving to Canada soon and there's no chance of getting an N900 over there, or any newly released handphones.

I hope it will be using a higher battery capacity, 1500mah also is not enough for n97.

Now 1320mAh? with that processor it uses, i bet it won't last long.

i think nokia as still aways to go, especially compared to their competitors, in terms of software support and 3rd party development.
