I have no issues with the lens cover, no scratches whatsoever. guess i'll have 2 make sure i clean the phone off n on - with a blower and a microfibre cloth. the only problem is as spoken is the minimal ram space. i'm running on full force with everything open - widgets, fring, gravity, web browser. while doing that, a phone call came in - and the phone hung after the closed the call. think i'm pushing the capabilities of the phone bit too much - i feel as if it's a notebook rather than a phone.

i hate the fact that when i switch from wlan to gps. all the application connected to the internet fails on me! I've been trying ways to make it realiable - frustrating to close all the application and reboot the phone n open back the application. i'm now testing on running with different custom "destination" in the connection manager. 1 outdoor with only maxis gps, 1 home with wifi. anyone have any success with this?

QUOTE(abasan @ Aug 1 2009, 03:08 AM) I've been debating on N97 and the Iphone 3GS, most friends recommending the latter but after reading this thread I'm going with the n97. After all, I'm really after a smart phone. Atlantis, SS2 is selling for RM2,250 Zitron - Local warranty. Free installation of Garmin for u tooI've surveyed 2 shops, one in Carrefour subang jaya. Selling ap phone for 2.1k. The other shop is nokia shop in Amcorp selling for 2.35k ori. Any bro here can recommend a trusted shop for me to buy from in KL or subang, shah alam, bangsar vicinity? My main use will be GPS, Microsoft office, modem for computer, camera and games... Will the shop help me set up the phone properly? Also, do they allow me to test the phone first? Hear the speaker and receiver, check the camera pictures, LCD pixels, speed etc etc? Also do they help with installing applications there and then and also latest firmware? Not a pro user, but willing to learn. Btw, I've been using ipaq for nearly 3 years now. But lately the phone reception and connectivity is awful. Hopefully, n97 as a phone does not have such problems. Thanks for any advise. |

I wanna check with you guys if it's just my unit or it's suppose to be like that. since youtube does load for N97. I'm wondering why I can't view the videos in this website - www.pushmore.blogspot.com I can't view the videos in there when connected to Maxis 3G, or WiFi (Streamyx). It'll just show white boxes.
Can you guys help me verify this by loading the website in your phone? Thank you in advance! |

just installed invisibleshield over the weekend. Its awesome cause the phone looks clean after that. Better than the cheapo ones i was using earlier. The only draw back is that it took me 2 hrs to install it. The deterioration on srolling with he lcd just needs some getting use to
Added on August 10, 2009, 10:26 am QUOTE(mannquin @ Aug 9 2009, 11:49 PM) For both phones, I am using the built-in maps. I did restart them before I started the map app. It is obvious the tube is far more accurate than the n97. I've already googled this problem and it seems like many people are experiencing this. I can only hope for it to be a software problem. i used googlemaps the other time without grps activated and had no problems navigating around shah alam when i got lost. Running under maxis 3g unlimited data packageThis post has been edited by r47z: Aug 10 2009, 10:26 AM |

is it true that A-GPS will lock your position and also show you your current position you're facing? Because N97 have the built in compass as well.

QUOTE(mannquin @ Aug 11 2009, 07:33 PM) Have you tried to change the video resolution to 640x320 ? There's no change log available as yet. Rumours are saying that there will be kinitek scroll & better memory management. Here is the latest development on it.Added on August 11, 2009, 7:34 pmRegarding the latest firmware, can someone here post the change log? http://www.nokiausers.net/forum/nokia-n97/...-nokia-rda.html |
