Guys, I found that the lens cover scratches what it is supposed to cover. Is anyone else experiencing this kind of a problem?
Will the NCC replace it for me?

1 more thing, I found that Nimbuzz is really a cool app, it does it job pretty well, I now can call anyone on my messenger's list biggrin.gif

Luckily I didn't buy the IM+, it looks cool but the call feature is not working, besides that, Nimbuzz is free! You guys should give it a try
Yea, ones need to register to use it, but that doesn't mean you have to re-invite ur friends, just key in ur yahoo/hotmail or what so ever friends, they all will be there, just a click away !

edit: Do I sound like a Nimbuzz representative? Yeah I hope I could be one of them so that I could add a Webcam feature for this device =)

Guys, I got my back cover replaced today because there were lots of scratches on the lens, now I'm on my second one and it is already scratched!
Damn, what should I do? Why in this forum I am the only one experiencing this problem? I googled and found that a lot of people are having this annoying problem

Dayum! Today I sent it to the NCC again, for the second time. They warn me that I can't change it anymore. Shit
Last night I tilt the camera lens, and you know what I found? There was a small metal in between the cover and the lens. That means If the force you exert is big enough, it will damage ur lens. I dunno why they put such thing. I tried to tilt it a little bit so that it won't touch the lens, but I ended up making it no longer working, can't open and can't close. Lol.

Good news, I just got my n97 bodyguardz! It comes in 2 complete pieces, and If I managed to install it properly onto my device, I'm gonna sell it to those who are interested. I'll keep you guys updated

Guys, I just finished installing a bodyguardz onto my n97, and it looks great!
I'll upload some pics later, now it is still in recovery mode.
By the way I have 1 set of bodyguardz left, but the spray has finished. So who wants?

About the camera lens scratching the lens, I didn't experience it on my 1st n97, zitron set.
Now I am on my 2nd n97, avaxx set. I had this problem twice and I sent it to the NCC to get the back cover replaced.
Now, there is no more problem. So I think it depends on the back cover's origin.

edit : but I thought ours are made in China only? hmm

Looks really neat! Is it difficult to install? Does it feel like the mobile vinyl skin? Where can i get it?
*
Hehe, thanks mate, I bought it from a friend of mine from the US, now it is available on eBay, you should give it a try since there is no one in Malaysia selling this thing yet. So far, the only thing that bothers me is the smell. I just lost the 'bau kedai' thing because of the protector and it collects dust pretty well, lol. Other that that, it is perfect, feels like nothing is being applied on ur precious

haha applied invisible shield..i redid again with less bubbles. hopefully it will disappear like whats stated in the box in 2-3 days.

by the way, if any of u need the invisible shield spray..i got extra from my previous phone.
*
Dude, does invisible shield cover the sides of the phone? I saw from a picture of invi shield for n97 and it only covers top and bottom parts only

Added on August 5, 2009, 8:24 pmThe n97 Mini is holy ugly, euww tongue.gif

Damn, why is Nokia doing this shit? Whatever happens, the original n97 still rocks, I am loving it to the max

hi guys i reinstalled my invisible shield.

i did not use the spray they give. actually u can just use soap water but dilute the soap first.
use a tupperware, fill in with water til 3/4 then add soap into the water slowly and mix it with a spoon or back of a toothbrush
or whatever slowly because you do not want bubbles.
never use detergent or anything too strong. baby shampoo or any light soap/shampoo is fine.

after applying the shield, use your finger to rub all the moisture to the sides for 1 minute or 2, to avoid any bubbles.
here's my results:

Beautifully done!

I didn't buy invisible shield in the 1st place because I read some reviews saying that it has an orange peel effect, dunno what that really means actually, lol. But I feel like peeling off the back side cause I want the original matte feeling. I suggest you to cover the screen and the chrome sides only cause they are more prone to scratches

Edit : I've reinstalled mine a few times. Clean it with soap, then just use tap water to get it sticked

thanks.

any one use bluetooth headset listening to music? what model and how its audio quality?
*
Im using BH-503, looks great and the audio quality is excellent

By the way I suggest you guys to get Bodyguardz instead of Invisible Shield. Like evraa90 said, you can no longer slide it with ur finger or stylus because of the improved grip effect. Mine still looks naked and can do anything even though I've applied it with bodyguardz

Remember I asked you guys whether there's another way to unlock the phone?
Now i found 2 ways from 2 different applications, 1 using the accelerometer and another Iphone style unlock.
These 2 ways and apps, can Combo to make a perfect lock and unlock.

If ur carrying your phone around n ur using the 1st app, you might think that flipping the phone around will accidentally unlock the phone, hence now u can combo with the 2nd app to make a perfect lock/unlock combo for the n97.

Just watch the video and you'll get what I mean.

*
I tried the 1st method but it is not working. Did I miss anything?

Hi all N97 brothers and sisters!

Oh, on both phones, we need to push the unlock key 3 times to unlock, first time push the phone unlocks but screen is too dark to see, then push again to relock, the push again to unlock now with proper light... Weird, but a small hazzle I can live with.

Upgrade to the latest firmware, I experienced this before and the problem has now gone

Because you surf a lot. To get it back to normal, just click web > options > clear all private data.

Now check your memory smile.gif

Guys, I am really unhappy with this phone's GPS. It is totally useless/unusable!

I was in a car, it took me like 2 mins just to get locked. I restarted my phone, and went to a field/rooftop, still took ages to get gps lock.

I could say nothing about its accuracy, totally inaccurate. Now I am totally upset.

Am I the only unlucky fella experiencing this prob? How the hell am I supposed to fix this? I really hope it's a Software problem, not the hardware that causes this prob.

I compared it with 5800 side by side. The tube locks up pretty fast, like almost 10 times faster than n97. Yeap, the red dot seems like not really following my current location. Like 400m inaccurate
