Maybe you press too much without you realize it. Try send it to NCC for warranty

ya could b a widget/application running on the bg that needs it. i used 2 have it with accuweather/facebook but i removed it from my homescreen and make sure i close it when i don't want it.

Anyone having problem whereby the call ringtones is not the one you set when the person call you. Always using the default one. Arghhh...

Me too hate the connection to 3G unecessarily last time (consuming battery).
I removed all the widgets and leave my menu screen for favourite and shortcut only and it works fine.
Your case, maybe you can try to select GSM only until someone find the solution.

Went to NCC yesterday, quoted RM21 for the back cover and RM120 for the C-cover.
Got it repaired and should be collecting today.

u have to go to setting -> connectivity -> admin settings -> packet data -> packet data connection, change it to when needed instead of when available, so that everytime u want to go online, it will pop up to ask u which packet data/wireless u want to connect to..

I just brought my n97 2 days ago and loving it so much.
I found a problem which until now i still cannot solve and my firmware is updated.

i found that after i install 2-3 applications from ovi store, i lost my ebuddy icon and guitar game icon.
I try to reinstall my ebuddy, it said i already have ebuddy cannot reinstall. so i search look for ebuddy but cannot located.

The slide keypad for locking the phone came off from the casing..

My Guitar game also. It moved from Games folder to Application folder after i installed few applications. But mine I able to find it back and i move it back to the Game folder.

for people who dont use 3G at all, u can disable 3G by going to COnnectivitiy>Settings> Choose GSM for network mode.
if u choose dual mode means 3G+GSM

did u uninstall using the phone's application manager? guitar game will enter ur application folder, i experienced this while installling ngage on my phone.
if not try connect your phone to pc and try to look for any ebuddy files or folder n delete all n try reinstall.
you may opt to hard reset your phone if all else fails].

I changed my product code and now I am with V12... YA

Make sure you revert to the old product code once you success update the firmware. Then make soft reset. Else it will void warranty

Added on August 29, 2009, 11:15 pmGo NCC and tell them it broke suddenly and don't tell them you done it. Else you cant claim your warranty.

Have anyone encounter when u listen a music and want to find a particular song and go option and press find and then when u want to type a word is goes automatic to the front page of music store. It happened to my ex N86 also.....weird except Samsung HD is fine....:-)
