Greeting runners,

Remember the problem I faced earlier *sob sob sifus all bz with big run and missed my problem hehe joking*. After few readings, googling, experimental running asking friend to capture video and pictures to analyze my running form, finally I overcome the problem. Its actually caused by my wrong running form, while I play badminton, basketball, futsal, running HiiT, all categorized as fast pace, so I usually strike my forefoot during landing and take off. Unlike slow cardio like mid distance run, I usually relax, lay my body back, and land with my heel, it causes my knee to hurt. Now I practice running with correct form, forefoot strike, yes in the earlier stage its a bit awkward but even after 5km, 7km I still run without noticing any pain on the knee like before (abit hurt at midfoot perhaps due to getting used to wrong form). I'll run more in the mean time and keep u guys updated eh, and share the problem with newbie runner who facing the same problem  smile.gif
I share a video too of correct running form *abit iklan about Newton too hehe*

Hope you guys dont mind I babble about my problem here, just sharing  smile.gif
*
No problem. Its good that you analyse and found the problem yourself.
If u r interested to get a NEWTON from me, let me know. I am selling NEWTON shoes here.

And forefoot running is the most efficient way to run yet conserve energy. It will also minimize injury to ankle, heel and knee as the impact is less.

i only source for the best products for runners. DRYMAX was intro to me by some American frenz. Told me that its one of the best selling tube socks currently. Very similar to Wright socks but its slightly thicker. So if one prefer a double layered socks which is thick, then go for Drymax, and a thin one go for Wright socks. Injinji is still the No 1 toe socks, no doubt abt it.

Saucony Fastwitch series had created a follower base in malaysia since I started selling Fastwitch 1 three yrs ago. Fastwitch users will upgrade their shoes when the new model comes out, no Q asked. Thats how reliable and price performance this shoe is offering to the runners.

You let me know your needs & requirements and I will give u the recommendations. rclxms.gif

Saucony Kinvara - The new gen minimalist shoe

The Kinvara, Saucony's new lightweight, minimal running shoe, has been getting quite a bit of attention. To quench some of your curiosity, we made this video explaining the concepts, inspirations and technologies behind the 7.7oz ProGrid Kinvara.

http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=801760338782

Hitting the stores in USA on 1st May 2010. I hope it will be available by Aug/Sept in Asia and the minimalist shoe will create a new era in running.

Although Kinvara was loosely based on the Nike Lunar foam concept, I hope it won't bear a similar pricetag... & hopefully it will be more durable...

Looks like the Nike Lunar foam concept but I believe its definite better as the Lunar foam is a total failure IMHO. The Retail Price is US90.

KSWISS too had join in the bandwagon for minimalist shoe made available in the 2nd part of 2010.

Kinvara - a minimalist shoe ie very low profile with one piece mid/forefoot sole. Let the runners feel the ground. A light weight fast shoe ideal for daily workout or even race day

Isaac - more of a normal trainer but the uniqueness is the capability to help transition a heel striker to mid/forefoot strike. And thats what the shoe was developed. Much heavier bcos of the cushion + stability support provided for a heel striker.

The Newton Classic are more similar to the Kinvara which is in the same category, very low profile with support 100% focus at forefoot area. You get to feel the ground when running. No over-engineered cushioning + stability support to make the shoe heavy and bulky on the run.

Alot of runners like you who invest in the Isaac are starting to see the change in theirr running gait ie from heel strike to forefoot. One very obvious change was the wear/tear of their shoe. Now its happening at the forefoot area and not so much at the heel. And they are starting to evaluate and purchase the Newton Classic to be a forefoot runner. An dcouple with the ccurrent promotion on the Classic these shoes are a steal drool.gif

Haih... now I dunno what to buy or when to buy edi.... my Mizuno Wave Aero is nearing 400km, & I'm looking for a lightweight trainer to replace it. My Adizero Ace on the other hand, I've only had around 150k with it (2 half marathons) & it's already showing very obvious signs of wear on the soles. I understand that it's a racer so it's not that durable, thts why I'm only using it for races. I wanted to get either the Grid Sinister or NB 828 as my trainer.... Choi, is the size 10.5 for the Grid Sinister still available ? U only have 2 sizes left rite ?

The tiger ? U mean the FW4 ah ? It's here edi ah ? How much ?

Added on April 19, 2010, 9:27 amYesterday I went to New Balance 1Utama, NB currently is having a shoe rebate promotion, U bring Ur old shoes to their shops & get up to a RM100 rebate on selected shoes. Unfortunately, the model I was aiming for, the NB MR828 wasn't available for the promo. The older model, MR827 however was available with RM80 rebate which bring the price down to RM209. Surprisingly, despite the bigger toebox compared to my current Mizuno & Adidas, I had to take 1/2 a size bigger, I had to use size US11 for NB shoes it seems. & there was no size US11 available for 828 at 1Utama.

But I still want the 828s, so I'ma have to go to Gardens or Sg Wang... haih... had to carry my old Power shoes around yesterday.... in the end have to bring it back home...
