Off topic however with normal just call sms usage it lasted me more than 3-4 days easily. I turned off the 3G as well for that so it doesn't need to constantly search for the signal when I'm abroad

hi...wanna ask some question. im planning to go overseas next month. can i bring along my iphone and use wifi connection there?

As yuvanesh pointed out yes you can. Not a problem at all. You can also pop in the local simcard (depending on countries) to take advantage of better signal and good data rate. Certain countries especially south america doesn't have roaming agreement with Maxis (although if you call them the cust svc will say yes they do)

hello,

Do you think after 4G launch, the phone price will drop?
*
Back to around the same price point if you're planning to get the latest stuff in the market. Well above pointed out yes it might but then again you are going back in the current cycle (i.e. getting 3G when 3GS is hot).
Hard to say actually on pricing wise because it depends on alot of factor like economics wise that is

RM590 to be exact. confirmed. i went to Maxis KLCC just now because my gf wants to pay her bills and then suddenly the promoter gave us the paper regarding the promotion.

btw my gf's line is a supplementary line, which is under me. how can i get her the iphone 3G on that price (RM590) while still maintaining her supplementary line status?
*
Clearing up for the upcoming iphone maybe? Maxis has never been this generous before although when you have the line for more than 10 years and raked up around 3-4k monthly biggrin.gif

Ah yes, misread. I thought it was 3GS biggrin.gif
yea...clearing it up cos they might need to position the 3gs in place of 3g when the new one comes out

No, from what I know of Maxis have implemented a max of RM250 for data that you will need to pay more on top of the data bundle (correct me if I'm wrong). In short, if you don't be careful you will overpay.
Data and voice doesn't share the same system so they won't bundle it up together by watching each other backs. So highly possible you might burst one of the other or both

Nice to know that to edit MS doc, you don't need one of those expensive license from Microsoft. BTW, can it also edit Excel file?

One thing I don't like about iValue2. Assuming I have many cheaper family supplementary line under Value30, their call charges is 20 sen/min.

There are 2 major software which are Documents To Go (D2G) or Quickoffice. Both priced almost on same range. I'm using Quickoffice but recently they have been slugging behind D2G. I think I read somewhere D2G now supports Powerpoint editing as well which is a plus...
Don't worry, both will do Excel editing just fine wink.gif

Yes, you would have to pay something called an 'advance payment'. This amount would vary depending on the plan you choose. In your case, you'd have to pay RM 200 (for 12 months) or RM 400 (for 24 months). This advance payment will be divided equally over a period of 5 months.

This RM 100/mth plan does include calls (333 minutes worth) and SMS (100). Anything on top of that you'd have to pay more.

Hope I helped you understand it better. smile.gif

Just added note. Some doesn't have to pay the advance payment at all. Depends on how long you've been with Maxis and your spending with them but in general everyone have to pay for it

You mean both priced at USD1.99? So cheap as some poster said it is?
*
Nope..I got mine at about 9.99USD or so I think. It should be in the region of 5USD to 15USD. Mine is Quickoffice Connect Mobile Suite

Hey guys, i have never owned an iPhone before and i am wondering if i should wait for Maxis to sell the iPhone 4 or buy the iPhone 3GS from Maxis now since it is very cheap. Looking at my monthly usage, i can apply for iValue 3/4 and the price will be cheap. But i am just wondering, how much will Maxis offer the iPhone 4?
*
No one knows for sure but insider rumors had it that it will be in same price range as current 3sg 16/32gb. I know France are selling it within the same price range maybe with difference of few hundred buck (since Euro is low now). I think US have same price range as well. Few hundred bucks difference won't matter that much I guess for the tech toy you are going to get smile.gif See how it goes for Aussia/HK/SG launch to have better idea within this week
Well you can always wait for the iPhone4. As childish_gal81 said, it won't be long wink.gif
