@Cyan7,
Hmm.... well the difference with the ValuePlus 50 plan is that it can be used for SMS + calls; not just calls. Also, check the difference in call rates; I'm not sure if it's the same or it's more expensive with the iValue 1 plan.

@shiniraz,
Please be warned about posting the same questions on multiple threads; just be patient and wait for a response.  If u don't get a reply it only means no one has the answer for U.

@groggysquirrel,
Yes, assuming your CL (credit limit) is RM100 and you've signed up for iData 3 @ RM99, it only means you have a remainder of RM1 smile.gif

@loumou,
Yes that's about right; minus all the value added services; itemised billing, etc etc.

@alzaim,
No one can answer your question - U need to know what your usage is like; iValue 1 & iData 3 plans are very different; U better 'study' carefully before U sign onto the plan cause once u do you're not allowed to make amends to it.  I'm currently on the iData 2 plan.

@ahnien,
Don't think Google mapping & GPS is going to take up a lot of your data services; I don't use it often so *grins* I can't quite estimate lah, soweezZ.

@crazyivan,
No it doesn't work that way.

I've asked the CS at Maxis this question and even they can't give me a clear answer but many you peeps here might be able to help smile.gif ...

What's the difference between the Value80 plan and the iValue plans as far as the voice call commitment is concerned? My bill comes up to RM300+ every month but 80% of it is for IDD calls. What happens at the moment is that I basically paying for just the calls I make (the RM80 monthly commitment is rebated since I use more than RM80 talktime). Does it work the same way for call commitment portion of the iValue Plans? I don't mind making a bigger commitment and getting the phone cheaper but I don't want to be paying for calls that I won't be using.

The Maxis CS claims that the Value80 calls should also only cover local calls but I've been getting the rebate for more than a year now and my local calls never exceed RM30.

Hope all of that makes sense biggrin.gif .

Yes, when i booked the other day, i booked for two plan. one for me (ivalue 1) and my gf (idata 2). i paid rm 400, and asked to confirm that the rm400, will be credited to my account. then he told me only rm 200. rebate is only for 1value users.

idata - rm 200 nn refundable and contract for only one year.

ivalue can opt for 12/24 mths contract with rm 200 refundable.

@ahnien

yes, that's what i have been told by the SA at KLCC Maxis. The idata plan is not as flexible as the ivalue plan with less benefits such as call rates and etc.

It's suitable for those who have supp lines under them and do not wish to make it into the main line (like my case), as supp lines cannot opt for ivalue plan. Reason: - Main line and supp line are under one name and only one name can be used for the ivalue plan.

hi everyone, can anyone help me on this.

I'm on ivalue 100 since last year April and contract will end this April 2010.

If say i want iPhone 3Gs, could i signup for another ivalue 100 or any cheaper idata plan and get the phone?

What will happened to my current contract for Dec 2009 -> April 2010. will I have to pay for the 2 contracts for this period?

when u register for booking, the deposit is paid, later when u pick up the phone, it will become part of ur payment for the phone, of coz it is not refundable if u decide to quit the booking, unless they delay u for months and not delivered, and u quarrel with them. what u expect? commit and let go freely as u want?

Firstly, you cannot use the same line/no. to sign up another plan when you are already committed to one. The only thing that can be done is to terminate the first contract and hence releasing your obligation allowing you to sign up a new plan. But you don't want to do that as there will be 'punitive' charges for doing that.

Thus you either sign up with another line or wait out your contract period. Of course, you could buy an i3GS from alternative sources without any binding contract.

hi guys, i wanna know how does value plus 50 work?(sorry i know this is not maxis value plus plan thread). every month my bill statement writes monthly commitment rm50, but below it charges me rm10-rm20 for usage. isnt value plus 50 include call and sms and it only charges u when u exceed rm50? i rarely make calls and sms, i use msn most the time, maybe just 5 calls per month(less than 5 min). how so i still got usage charges?

The rates are for Mxs - Mxs i supposed.
And Yes, once u used up all ur free credits, u'll be charged according to the rates given.
eg :10cents/sms, 15cents/min calls..

@unioptom,

The difference between the usual VP plans and the iValue plans are that the credit available on the VP plans available for all services (ie: voice + data) whereas on the iValue plans, they're fixed. For example, on the iValue plan, RM50 is meant for data whilst RM50 is meant for voice calls. Since you make few local calls and international call rates are the same regardless of which plan you're on [you need to check this out cause i'm not 100% sure] the iValue plan *might* and *could* give you better value since the iPhone is heavily subsidised especially on the higher amount plans.

VP80 plans does cover International Calls; it covers all sorts of calls. What U need to double check is if the international call rates are the same regardless of which plan you're on and if the iValue call plan allows you to make IDD calls. If IDD calls on the iValue plan is charged separately then I suggest you better stick to the VP plan.

@Qool,
Your existing plan will still be active hence you will still need to pay for the remainder of its contract term.

@JakzT,
Hmm.. only Maxis can tell you Y the high charges; I'm suspected the data services and that your iValue plan perhaps might not have been activated yet?!

@ZeneticX,
Yes you'll be charged accordingly. The rates as mentioned are for calls regardless of network.
