the maxis prepaid for iphone "outright prepaid purchase of the 3GS" is not available yet? meaning new subscriber is not eligible to purchase it? or existing also can't?

That statement refers to the plan regardless you're new or existing subscriber.
So you cant outright purchase atm..

ivalue 1 is 1590 (phone price) + 400 (deposit and pre payment,will be rebated over the next 5 months @ rm80 per month)

monthly bill is rm100
*
I hope I am not asking too obvious a question.
With all the bills and phone - how much would I be paying for ivalue 1 ?

167 RM every month?

And for the phone, do I have to deposit 200 on top of the 400 RM?

how much per month i not sure (depends on ur credit card as well,some bank offers 0% installment).but i noe the 1st 5 months will be less burden bcoz of the rm80 rebate (depends on ur plan and prepayment)

RM400 = RM200 (phone deposit) + RM200 (ivalue 1 12 months contract prepayment)

does that mean I need to pay RM 1,590.00 for the iphone 3gs 16GB,

and every month I would need to pay RM 100.00 for iValue.

and the pre-payment RM 400.00.

Add it all up, my first month I would need to pay RM 2,090.00??

My humble advice....keep whatever package u r (assuming u r with maxis) and add the idata value 3. With this, u will get almost unlimited access to data use. Pay RM100 and dont have to worry about excessive maxis data charges like some of us here....only RM100 more per month

@ahnien,
I was initially pretty skeptical too but after having tested it for about a month, I swapped over from the RM99 plan to the 500MB @ RM50 plan. Thus far, my usage p/month has not even surpassed the 200MB mark; just don't use the phone to start downloading stuff otherwise how much also sure not enough lah smile.gif

Yes, U will still need to tie your line to an existing call plan be it Value First (RM30 commitment) or the Value Plus plans, or the RM10 Standard Plan.

The RM50 iData plan is merely for data usage, and not for calls.

@k3v1n,
It should take about 2hrs to activate the plan; your calls + data service will be pro-rated for the month.

Check with StandChart and if they have an easy payment scheme on, you can sign for your iPhone either from Maxis, Machines or Switch and pay by installments per the bank's prescribed payment mode.
