@phikaboo,
I believe Maxis themselves offer installment plans too; of which installments are paid via your monthly phone bill.

@k3v1n,
It should take about 2hrs to activate the plan; your calls + data service will be pro-rated for the month.

hmm..pardon for my poor english, what do you mean by pro-rated?

@k3v1n,
Pro-rated means assuming your bill cycle is 15th of the month and you collect your iPhone on the 1st of the month, you won't have a full bill cycle, just a 15 day bill cycle so everything is halved.

My Mac came up with this definition but I doubt you'll find it v helpful tongue.gif

prorate |prōˈrāt; ˈprōˌrāt|
verb [ trans. ] (usu. be prorated)
allocate, distribute, or assess pro rata : bonuses are prorated over the life of a player's contract.

Btw, I wanna ask about buying iPhone 3GS in Machines. I found that Machines are selling the unlock iPhone 3G at the time. How about the the unlock iPhone 3GS? n How much for that price?

Anyway, I also not so sure, is it unlock or jailbreak? They only tell me that it can put other SIM Card and not only Maxis...

@Wendy_Su,
You should read through the pinned threads to find out a bit more about the iPhone 3GS or do a search.

@k3v1n,
Yes.. it'll be based on how many days you used the old plan (and then your usage will be calculated) plus how many days you used the new plan (again usage will be calculated on pro-rata basis) - add up the 2 and that'll be your bill for the month.

You just have to make sure you pro-rate the data services accordingly. If assuming pro-rated on 0.5 month basis, your data plan will now be halved (ie: 100MB will now be 50MB).

is that the amount of idata plan included in credit limit? lets say my credit limit is Rm100, and i use rm99 idata plan, is that meant i've got only rm1 credit limit left???(im using ivalue plan 50) o.O
maxis block my line without any sms notice saying i exceed credit limit. and when i check my bill online, the bill only issued 3 days ago, and due date is the end of december, so they bar my line coz they think i should have paid the bill in 3 days after they issued the bill or it's because of credit limit?

@ahnien,
I was initially pretty skeptical too but after having tested it for about a month, I swapped over from the RM99 plan to the 500MB @ RM50 plan.  Thus far, my usage p/month has not even surpassed the 200MB mark; just don't use the phone to start downloading stuff otherwise how much also sure not enough lah smile.gif

@alzaim
Mine iValue 2..
Rm620 advance payment + Rm1290 cost of phone. = Rm1910.
The Rm620 is divided into the first 5 months. So gonna pay like Rm30++ for the first 5 months. Then Continued to Rm155/month on the 6th and following month

@shiniraz,
Please be warned about posting the same questions on multiple threads; just be patient and wait for a response. If u don't get a reply it only means no one has the answer for U.

@groggysquirrel,
Yes, assuming your CL (credit limit) is RM100 and you've signed up for iData 3 @ RM99, it only means you have a remainder of RM1 smile.gif

@loumou,
Yes that's about right; minus all the value added services; itemised billing, etc etc.

@alzaim,
No one can answer your question - U need to know what your usage is like; iValue 1 & iData 3 plans are very different; U better 'study' carefully before U sign onto the plan cause once u do you're not allowed to make amends to it. I'm currently on the iData 2 plan.

@ahnien,
Don't think Google mapping & GPS is going to take up a lot of your data services; I don't use it often so *grins* I can't quite estimate lah, soweezZ.

@crazyivan,
No it doesn't work that way.

@tinkerbel,
If I'm not mistaken, you're on iData2 yes?
I was thinking of getting iData2 instead of iValue2 since i don't do much calls..
iData2 which is Rm50/month. So how much u paid for the phone?
Rm1990 + Rm50?
and there is a minimum charge of Rm50 for principal line right?
Therefore its Rm1990 + Rm50 + Rm50?

@Cyan7,
I took a 12 month plan hence the cost of the phone was RM2490. I'm also on the ValuePlus 80 plan so my commitment to Maxis per month is RM130. I believe there's a ValueFirst plan that's RM30 p/month commitment for phone calls; but call rates are slightly higher on this.
